catealevel of quality or aspecification in

accordance with an MB SheetNumber (e.g.

MB 331.0). They have not necessarily been

approved by Mercedes-Benz.

Fuel

Important safetynotes

WARNING

Fuel is highly flammable. If you handle fuel

incorrectly, there is arisk of fire and explo-

sion.

You must avoid fire, open flames,creating

sparksand smoking. Switch off the engine

and, if applicable, the auxiliary heatingbefore

refueling.

WARNING

Fuel is poisonous and hazardous to health.

There is arisk of injury.

You must make sure that fuel does not come

intocontactwith your skin,eyes or clothing

and that it is not swallowed. Do not inhale fuel

vapors.Keep fuel away fromchildren.

If you or others comeintocontactwith fuel,

observe the following:

Wash away fuel fromskin immediately

using soap and water.

If fuel comes intocontactwith your eyes,

immediately rinse themthoroughly with

clean water.Seek medical assistancewith-

out delay.

If fuel is swallowed, seek medical assis-

tance without delay. Do not inducevomit-

ing.

Immediately change out of clothing which

has comeintocontactwith fuel.

Gasoline

Fuel grade

Do not use diesel to refuel vehicles with a

gasolineengine. Do not switchonthe igni-

tion if you accidentally refuel with the

wrongfuel. Otherwise, the fuel will enter

the fuel system. Even small amountsofthe

wrongfuel could result in damage to the

fuel system and the engine. Notify aquali-

fied specialist workshop and have the fuel

tankand fuel lines drained completely.

Only refuel using unleaded gasolinewith a

minimum octane rating of 91.

To ensure the longevityand full perform-

anceofthe engine, only premium-grade

unleaded gasolinemust be used.

If standard unleaded gasolineisunavaila-

ble and you have to refuel with unleaded

gasolineofalower grade, observe the fol-

lowing precautions:

Only fill the fuel tanktohalf full with reg-

ular unleaded gasolineand fill the rest
