The position of the operating mode selector ቧ
is of no significance for the SLAVE function in
the cordless Metz remote system.
2.7 SLAVE function switch ቮ:
For normal flash photography, the mecablitz is mounted in
the camera’s accessory shoe and triggered by way of the
synch contact in the flash unit’s foot or a synch cable
connected to the camera. For this mode set the SLAVE fun-
ction switch ቮ to position 0 (see fig.).
For operation as a SLAVE flash unit with cordless flash trig-
gering, the SLAVE function switch ቮ must be set to positi-
on 1 or 2, depending upon the desired SLAVE mode. For
