Automatic flash sync speed control
When the flash unit is switched on, most system
cameras will automatically switch over to flash sync
speed in the A, S and M modes. The customary set-
tings are between 1/30 sec. and 1/250 sec., depen-
ding upon the given camera. When some cameras
are in M mode it is possible to select/adjust a slower
speed than the flash sync speed (see camera's
instructions for use)!
To avoid blur due to camera shake, the camera
should always be mounted on a tripod when slow
shutter speeds are set (e.g. > 1/30 sec.).
When the flash unit is switched on in bright ambient
light, it is necessary to ensure that the setting in the
camera mode Program P (auto program mode) and
in the programmed image control modes does not
fall short of the camera's flash sync speed (see
camera's instructions for use). Consequently, the
shutter speed must not be faster than the flash sync
speed.

La maggior parte delle fotocamere a sistema, con
flash attivato, commutano automaticamente il modo
di funzionamento impostato sulla fotocamera A, S o
M, sul tempo di sincronizzazione lampo. Tempi tra
1/30 e 1/250 di secondo sono usuali a seconda del
tipo di fotocamera. Nel modo fotocamera M, con
alcune fotocamere si possono scegliere o impostare
tempi più lunghi del tempo di sincronizzazione (vedi
istruzioni per l'uso della fotocamera)!
Per evitare riprese mosse, con tempi lunghi (p. es. >
1/30 s) si dovrebbe montare la fotocamera su uno
stativo.
Con flash attivato e con luce ambientale intensa
bisogna fare attenzione, nel modo fotocamera P
(programma, automatismo di esposizione) e nei pro-
grammi Motivo, che il tempo di sincronizzazione del-
la fotocamera (vedi istruzioni per l'uso della
fotocamera) non venga superato. Un'impostazione
di tempi più brevi del tempo di sincronizzazione
lampo non è possibile.

Con el flash conectado en la mayoría de las cámaras
de sistema y en los tipos de funcionamiento de
cámara „A“, „S“ y „M“ se conmuta automáticamen-
te a la velocidad de sincronización. Según el tipo de
cámara las velocidades están entre 1/30 seg. y
1/250 seg. En el tipo de funcionamiento de cámara
„M“ se pueden elegir o ajustar en algunas cámaras
velocidades más lentas que la de sincronización
(véase las instrucciones de la cámara).
Para evitar movimientos y en velocidades de obtura-
ción lentas (p.e. ( 1/30 seg.) es aconsejable montar
la cámara sobre un trípode.
Con el flash conectado y la luz de ambiente clara,
hay que tener en cuenta que en el tipo de funcio-
namiento de la cámara Programm „P“ (Automatis-
mo de exposición-Programm) y en los programas de
modos, la velocidad de sincronización de flash de la
cámara (véase las instrucciones de la cámara) no
debe quedar por debajo. Por ello no deben aparecer
velocidades que sean más rápidas que la de sincro-
nización.
