Warning: Do not use this electric blanket on or under any waterbed or
mechanically adjustable type of bed such as a bunk or sofa bed.
Check to ensure that the controller and supply cord cannot become
trapped in any bed or bedding. Keep controller outside of the bedding
as much is possible.
Secure blanket through middle and corners (indicated by dotted lines).
Warning: Use the correct size of blanket for the bed. Do not for
example use a double blanket on a single bed, do not tuck the blanket
in.
x Check the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If
there are such signs or if the appliance has been misused, it must
be returned to the manufacturer or dealer for check prior to any
further use.
x If the mains cable is damaged, it should only be replaced at a
repair workshop approved by the
manufacturer, as special tools are required for the repair.
x Repairs to electrical appliances must be carried out only by trained
personnel. Improper repair
could result inconsiderable risks for the user.
x When the appliance is not in use, the plug should be removed from
the mains and the appliance.
x Unplug the cord from the mains:
- when malfunction occurs during use
- before cleaning
- after use and for storing.
x Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord, if it
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Ask a (*)
competent qualified electrician to check and repair it.
x Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent
qualified electrician(*) to avoid any danger. All repairs should be
made by a competent qualified electrician(*).
(*)Competent qualified electrician : after sales department of the
producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and

competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger.
In any case you should return the appliance to such electrician.

Remove all packaging parts before initial operation.
When the warming pad is used for the first time, it can smell of plastic, but this disappears after a short
time. Before starting the first time, insure that the temperature control switch is in OFF position. Use
the appliance as an under blanket only. This appliance is only for warming up beds. The best results
may be expected when the warming pad is placed under the bed sheet and covered by the cover
before switching it on. Do not place the switch under a cover. Pre-heating time takes about 40 minutes
when covered. You can use the warming pad on both sides.
The warming pad is provided with an overheating protection and will switch off when failure occurs. If
the protective device is ruptured, the appliance must be returned to the manufacturer or his agent to
repair.
The appliance may only be used with 220~240 Volts a.c.

Place the blanket flat on the bed, with the controller at the pillow end, ensuring that the blanket does
not overhang the bed edge and is not in the area of any intended pillow. Unwind the tie tags and
secure the blanket to the bed. Secure each corner and also the middle to avoid that the warming pad
can get folded or crumpled. The warming pad may only be switched on when it is flat and unfurled. It is
recommended to switch on the warming pad about 40 minutes before going to bed and keeping it covered
during this time to avoid that the warmness will leak from the bed.
Once the electric blanket has been installed correctly in position and the bedding completed, connect
the controller supply plug to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the controller is set to Off. Switch the
power on. Select the desired heat setting on the controller. The indicator lamp on the switch indicates
that the blanket is ON.
For first time use it is recommended that the blanket be set on level 3 for 2 hours before sleeping on
the bed. This will assist in drying any moisture out of the mattress. Any initial small odour that may occur
with first lime use is harmless and will disappear soon.
Only operate the blanket with the supplied switching unit model HK 1031.
CAUTION: The electronic components inside the switch may lead to a slight warming of the
switch when the pad is on. Therefore the switch must not be covered or placed on top of the
warming pad when it is in operation.

hours it is recommended to use level1.
