Quiet mode

You can turn on the quiet mode

for a period of me (1-12 hours).

During this period, all tones

(except paging tone) are muted.

1. Press and hold #QUIET when

the handset is not in use.

2. The handset displays

Quiet: _ _ hours. Use the dialing

keys (0-9) to enter the desired

duraon (1-12).

3. Press SELECT to save. You hear

a conrmaon tone.

The handset displays Quiet

mode on and .

Turn o the quiet mode

Press and hold #QUIET when the

handset is not in use. The handset

displays Quiet mode oﬀ briey and

then returns to idle.

• When you change the sengs of

the ringer tone or ringer volume,

you can sll hear the samples

even if the quiet mode is on.

Home area code

When you dial your local calls

using only seven digits (area code

not required), you can program

your home area code so that

when you receive a call within

your local area, the telephone

number is automacally stored

without the area code in the

caller ID log.

1. Press MENU when the handset

is not in use.

2. Press CID/ or / to choose

Settings, and then press SELECT.

3. Press CID/ or / to choose

Home area code, and then press

SELECT.

4. Use the dialing keys to enter a

three-digit home area code.

5. Press SELECT to save your

selecon. Then the handset

returns to the previous menu.

You hear a conrmaon tone.

• If, in the future, your telephone

service provider requires you to

dial the area code when making

a local call, or, if you move to a

locaon that requires it, delete

the home area code you have

already programmed, following

the steps above. Aer you have

deleted the home area code,

_ _ _ will appear on the display.
