This set operates on AC (230V ~ 50Hz) or DC(9V )
AC OPERATION:
Connect at the back of the unit(17) the AC power cord provided before insert into a
convenient standard AC outlet.
IMPROTANT
Make sure that button (CD-OFF-RADIO)(16) is set to OFF position before connecting
the AC cord or inserting batteries.
USING ON batteries
Open the lid of the battery compartment (14) on the bottom and insert 6PCS (size
C) batteries (not supplied), with the + and – marks correctly aligned, then
close the lid.
To switch from AC power supply to battery power supply, disconnect the AC cord from
the AC inlet, then disconnect main unit.
The batteries need to be replaced when:
The volume decreases, or sound is distorted during operation.
Notes on batteries
• Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.
• Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.
• Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the like.
• Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
NOTE: In order to avoid leakage, always remove the batteries when unit will not be
used for a long period of time.

POWER SUPPLY
LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1. Set the Function (CD-OFF-RADIO) switch (16) to RADIO position, the POWER
indication light will light up.
2. Select FM / MW by selecting the Band switch (12)
3. Select your radio station by the TUNING control (13) and adjust the volume control
(15) to your desired sound level.
For best reception:
FM: Extend and rotate the antenna (10).When in stereo mode and the stereo broadcast
is received FM stereo indicator (8) lights up.
MW: This unit is equipped with a built-in directional ferrite antenna, move and rotate
the unit.
4. To stop listening to the radio, set the function switch (16) to OFF position.
LISTENING TO CD
1. Set the function switch (CD-OFF-RADIO) (16) to CD position.
* The display (19) will show “ ”. If no disc loaded.
2. Insert the disc (Label side up) in the CD compartment(11).The total number of
tracks is displayed(19).
3. Press (7) to start playing and the PROG./ PLAY indicator (21) light up. Adjust the
volume level (15).
NOTE : Use also this knob to suspend momentarily the playing track. The track number
blinks. Press (7) once again to resume playing.
4. Press (2) to stop listening to the disc.
OTHER CD PLAYER FUNCTIONS
SKIP / FAST SEARCH (3&6):
1. Press to skip forward to the next track or repeatedly to skip several tracks.
2. Press return to the beginning of the track, or press repeatedly to skip backwards
several tracks.
3. Press and hold or to search quickly within a track.
REPEAT (5): A single track or the whole CD can be repeated as many times as you like.
Press once to repeat your selected track. The repeat indicator (20) blinks.
Press twice to play the disc continuously. The repeat indicator (20) lights up.
Press again to switch off this function.
PROGRAM (4):To set your own musical program when the unit is in STOP mode.
1. Insert the disc. The total number of tracks is displayed (19).
2. Press the PROGRAM button (4), display “ ” blinks.
3. Select with or (3 & 6) your desired track, then press (4) to store your program
in memory. Redo this operation as many times as necessary. 20 tracks can be
memorized.
4. Press (7) to start playing program mode. the PROG./PLAY indicator(21) will
blinks.
5. Press (2) to stop the disc. To clear the programmed tracks, open the CD door.

PRECAUTIONS
1 Power sources
-Use AC house current, as specied in the Operating instructions and marked on the
unit.
2 AC power cord
-When disconnecting the AC power cord, pull it out by the AC power plug. Do not pull
the cord itself.
-Never handle the AC power plug with wet hands, as this could result in re or electric
shock.
-Power cords should be rmly secured to avoid being bent, pinched, or walked upon.
Pay particular attention to the cord from the unit to the power socket.
-Avoid overloading AC power plug and extension cords, beyond their capacity, as this
could result in re or electric shock.
3 When not in use
-Unplug the AC power cord from the AC outlet if the unit will not be used for several
months or more. When the cord is plugged in a small amount of current continues to
ow to the unit, even when the power is turned off.
If at any time in the future you should need to dispose of this product please
note that Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household
waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your Local Authority
or retailer for recycling advice. (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Directive.)

Heat-Do not use this unit near sources of heat, including heating vents, stoves, or

Mounting surface - Place the unit on a at, even surface.
Ventilation -The unit should be situated with an adequate space around it so that
proper heat ventilation is assured. Allow 10cm (4 in.) clearance from the near and the
top of the unit and 5 cm (2in.) from each side.

-The unit is cooled by an air conditioner
When this unit has condensation inside, it may not function normally. Should this occur,
leave the unit for a few hours, then try to operate again.

Continuous use of earphones at high volume can damage the user’s
hearing.
Maximum output voltage ≤ 150mV
HEADPHONE VOLUME WARNING
Connect earphones with the volume set low and increase it if required. Prolonged
listening through some earphones at high volume settings can result in hearing
damage. When headphones/earphones are connected, no sound will be emitted from
the unit's speaker.
Caution: Avoid listening to sound at levels which may be harmful to your ears.
IMPORTANT
- Do not throw batteries in re!
- Do not be exposed to dripping or splashing water, and that no object lled with liquids,
such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
- Under the inuence of electrical fast transient or/and electrostatic phenomenon, the
product may malfunction and required user to power reset.
- Mains plug is used as the disconnect device and it shall remain readily operable. To
be completely disconnected the power input, the mains plug of the apparatus shall be
disconnected from the mains completely. The mains plug should not be obstructed or
should be easily accessed during intended use.
- Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal; the use
of apparatus in moderate climates.
- No naked ame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the apparatus.
- The marking information is located at the bottom of apparatus.

such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Clean the unit with a soft, damp (never wet) cloth. Solvent or detergent should never
be used.
2. Avoid operating your unit under direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty places.
3. Keep your unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as
uorescent lamps or motors.
COMPACT DISC CARE
- To remove a disc from its storage case, press down on the center of the case and
lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges. Discs should be stored in their cases
after use to avoid scratches.
- Handle the disc only by its edges. Never allow your ngers to come in contact with
the shiny, unprinted side of the disc.
- Do not attach any tape, stickers, etc and/or write anything on either side of the disc.
- Clean the disc periodically with a soft, lint-free , dry cloth. Never use deter gents or
abrasive cleaners to clean the disc. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.
- If a disc skips or gets stuck on a section of the disc, it is probably dirty or damaged
(scratched).
- Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high humidity, high temperatures or dust, etc.
Prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures can warp the disc (such as leaving the
disc in your car during summertime).
- When cleaning the disc, wipe in straight lines from the center of the disc to the outer
edge of the disc. Never wipe in circular motions.
Note: Always press STOP button and wait for the disc stop rotating
before opening the CD door to remove the disc.
- If there is a scratch, dirt or ngerprint on the CD, it may cause
tracking error. Before playing, clean the CD with a cleaning cloth.
Wipe the CD from the center out. Don’t store discs in places with
high temperatures or high humidity-they can become warped.
After playing, store the CD in its cases.
CLEANING THE LENS
A dirty lens will cause sound skipping. If the lens is very dirty, the player may not work.
We suggest using a special cleaning disk (not included) available in most music and
Hi-Fi stores. However, if you do not have one, you may use a cotton swab
very slightly dampened with alcohol to clean the lens.
CLEANING THE UNIT
- To prevent re or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power source when
cleaning.
- If the cabinet becomes dusty, wipe it with a soft cloth. Do not use any wax or polish
sprays on the cabinet.
- If the cabinet becomes dirty or smudged with ngerprints it may be cleaned with a
soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild soap and water solution. Never use abrasive
cloths or polishes as there will mar the nish of your unit.
