How to Refresh the Firmware or Update the driver
Illegal operations or wrong format may cause the firmware corrupted. The player may not
be able to work normally and even ‘dead’ under this condition. The firmware needs to
refresh to make fix this problem.
1) Disconnect the player if it is connected; If there is no a new version driver, skip to step 3;
2) Uninstall existing driver and install the driver by default setting if it is a new version driver;
3) Connect the player to computer with battery inserted and then press play button for 5 seconds then
release the button. The player will be turn on and run in Recovery mode at this moment. User can
check this in Hardware configuration as Figure 1. The picture shows the new hardware found. User
can switch to perform the update and format utility.
Remark: Make sure power is switched off before connected with USB connector
4) At this moment user can run the firmware update utility to perform the
firmware update.
5) You will see update utility as right Figure. Unselect the quick option
under download options. Then click start icon to update the firmware of
the player. Please don’t try to quit the update utility, disconnect the USB
cable or turn off the computer while update is in process. Choose close
icon to exit the update utility after process completed.
6) After update utility completed. User should perform the format function. User will see the format
utility as left figure shown. Unselect the quick option under Format options. Then click start icon to
format the player. Please don’t try to quite the format utility, disconnect the USB cable or turn off the
computer while format is in process. Choose close icon to exit the format update utility after process
complete.
7) The firmware and format function completed. User can download the music file to player and for music playback.
8) Disconnect the player when LCD displays “USB IDLE”.
