Smart Stand Fan FNST17CWT40W

Intended use

The product FNST17CWT40W is a stand fan with three dierent

speeds, a swing function and a timer.

The product FNST17CWT40W can be controlled using the buttons

on the product, the remote control, or through the Nedis SmartLife

App.

This product is exclusively intended as a fan for indoor use only.

The product is not intended for professional use.

This product is intended for use in household environments for

typical housekeeping functions that may also be used by non-expert

users for typical housekeeping functions, such as: shops, oces

other similar working environments, farm houses, by clients in

hotels, motels and other residential type environments and/or in

bed and breakfast type environments.

Any modication of the product may have consequences for safety,

warranty and proper functioning.

Safety instructions

WARNING

• Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in

this document before you install or use the product. Keep the

packaging and this document for future reference.

• Only use the product as described in this document.

• Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace

a damaged or defective product immediately.

• Children and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental

capabilities or lack of experience may not use the product

without supervision.

• Switch o and unplug the product when not in use or before

maintenance.

• Do not unplug the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp

the plug and pull.

• Keep hair, loose clothing, ngers and all body parts away from

openings and moving parts.

• Do not operate the product in the presence of explosive fumes.

• This product may only be serviced by a qualied technician for

maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.

• Only use the product if the polarised plug ts properly into a

polarised outlet. If the plug does not t, reverse the plug and try

again. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician.

• Do not let water enter the product.

• Do not dismantle, open or shred secondary cells or batteries.

• Do not expose cells or batteries to heat or re. Avoid storage in

direct sunlight.

• In the event of a cell leaking, do not allow the liquid to come in

contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the

aected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical

advice.

• Only use the battery type(s) recommended in this document.

• Make sure to match the (+) and (-) polarity markings.

• Dispose of the cell or battery properly.

• Use only the cell or battery in the application for which it was

intended.

Placing the batteries (image D)

1. Open the battery compartment Au.

2. Place 2 size AAA batteries (not included) into the battery

compartment Au.

4Observe the plus (+) and minus (–) marks on the cell, battery and

equipment and ensure correct use.

3. Close the battery compartment Au with the battery cover Ao.

Installing the product (image E - H)

1. Secure the telescopic stand Aq to the base Ar using the L

shaped screw At and the spacer Ai.

2. Adjust the telescopic stand Aq to the desired height.

3. Tighten the height adjustment lock A6.

4. Place the fan head A4 onto the telescopic stand Aq.

5. Make sure to tighten the locking screw A8.

6. Place the slots of the rear grill Ae on the positioning knobs of

the fan head A4.

7. Secure the rear grill Ae using the rear grill mounting nut Aw.

Make sure to tighten the rear grill mounting nut Aw.

8. Secure the fan blade A3 using the rear fan blade nut A9.

Make sure to tighten the fan blade nut A9.

9. Align the front grill A1 with the rear grill Ae.

10. Close the ve latches A2.

11. Secure the front grill A1 to the rear grill Ae with the bolt Aa

and nut Ap.

Installing the Nedis SmartLife app

1. Download the Nedis Smartlife app for Android or iOS on your

phone via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

2. Open the Nedis Smartlife app on your phone.

3. Create an account with your e-mail address and tap Continue.

4. You will receive a verication code on your e-mail address.

5. Enter the received verication code.

6. Create a password and tap Done.

7. Tap Add Home to create a SmartLife Home.

8. Set your location, choose the rooms you want to connect with

and tap Done.

Adding the product to the Nedis SmartLife app

1. Switch on the product.

2. Press and hold the swing button Bw for 5 seconds.

4The Wi-Fi indicator Bw blinks quickly and a beep sounds to

indicate pairing mode is active.

3. Tap + in the Nedis SmartLife app.

4. Select the device type you want to add from the list.

5. After conrming you can control the product with your

smartphone.
