Operating and
residual heat indicator
All the hobs have an operating and residual heat
indicator which comes on when the flame on the
corresponding hotplate is lit.
Once the hotplate is switched off, the residual heat
indicator remains on indicating that the hotplate
temperature is too high. Do not touch the hotplate while
the indicator light is on.
After some time the residual heat indicator light will go off,
indicating that the temperature of the hotplate has
dropped and is no longer too high. Care must still be
taken when touching the appliance to avoid burns, since
the hotplate may not have completely cooled down.
Automatic on function
All the hotplates have an automatic on function which is
activated when the flame of a hotplate that is in use
accidentally goes out. The system will try to switch the
hotplate on again after 10 seconds.
If after this time the hotplate has not come on again, the
operating indicator light will flash and the burner will
remain blocked.
To unblock it, turn the control knob to the 0 setting.
Safety system
Depending on the model, your hob may have a safety
system (thermocouple) that prevents the flow of gas if the
burners accidentally switch off. To ensure that this device
is active, switch on the burner as usual and, without
releasing the control knob, press and hold it down firmly
for 4 seconds after lighting the flame.
Switching off a burner
Turn the corresponding control knob clockwise to the 0
setting.
Power levels
The progressive control knobs can be used to control the
power needed, from minimum to maximum power.
