out of the jet, the system is ready
in any case. If this occurs, still turn
the control knob back to the left.)
➔ The system then briefly warms
up (Symbol 8 flashes) and is then
operational again. The usual coffee-
brewing symbols appear in the
display.
Changing / washing filter manu ally:
Caution: If you use the machine
infrequently, you must change the
filter after at most two months. No
message will appear in the display
and you must rinse the new filter
manually. You can set the replace-
ment date using the special rotat -
ing disk at the top of the filter
(scale in months).
➔ Switch your machine on
(operat ing mode) by pressing the
On / Off button (fig. 1/F).
➔ Press and hold the Service but-
ton (fig. 1/I) for about 4 seconds.
Symbols 19 and 20 light up and
alternate in the display.
➔ Wait until the symbol for the
filter function, Symbol 20, lights
up and press the Selection button
(fig. 1/I) to confirm.
➔ Symbols 20 starts to flash.
➔ Press and hold the Service but-
ton (fig. 1/I) for about 4 seconds.
Symbols 13, 16 and 20 flash.
➔ Then follow the instructions
given in point 5.2, from “Empty
the water reservoir …”.
5.3 Cleaning program
When the machine needs to be
cleaned, Symbol 19 appears in
the display and the Service button
(fig. 1/I) flashes.
Tip: Only press the Service button
(fig. 1/I) when you wish to start
the cleaning program. You can
continue to make coffee, hot water
or steam. However, we recommend
that you start the cleaning pro-
gram as soon as possible.
Caution: Once running, the clean -
ing program must not be stopped.
Only add cleaning tablet when the
machine instructs you to do so.
➔ Press and hold the Service but-
ton (fig. 1/I) for about 4 seconds.
Symbol 17 flashes.
➔ Remove the drip tray and used
coffee container (fig. 1/L and 1/U)
and clean them both.
➔ Fill the reservoir (fig. 1/B and 2)
with fresh water and replace it and
the tray (fig. 1/L) in the machine.
