HAND BLENDER
Remove the plug from the socket. Remove the whisks / dough hooks. Slide the flap on the underside
of the mixer to the side and with a turning movement press the blender staff (4) into the hole
designed for that purpose. Make sure it's in the correct position. This is shown with arrows on the
housing and the mixer staff. The blender staff is operated by turning the switch (7) to the left. The
blender staff can NOT be operated by turning the speed switch to the right - this function only
works for the hand mixer. The blender staff can be removed by giving it a quarter turn and then
pulling it out of the mixer. The tall mixing cup is especially practical when using the hand blender.
The plastic adaptor can be clicked onto the bottom of the blender staff in order to protect the
sensitive pan base.
CLEANING
NEVER SUBMERGE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID!!
Remove the plug from the socket and disengage the accessories. Clean the mixer with a damp
cloth. Clean the accessories (whisks, dough hooks, blender staff) with soapy water. Rinse
thoroughly and dry.
NOVA TIPS:
1. This mixer is intended for household use only.
2. Never submerge the appliance in water or other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary when operating this appliance around children or when allowing
children to use it. Never leave the mixer unattended where children may have access to it.
4. Remove the plug from the outlet when the appliance is not in use, when attaching or removing
accessories and for cleaning.
5. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, clothes and equipment well away from the
blades when in use. This will prevent injury and/or damage to the blender.
6. In case of damage to the appliance or its cord, we advise you to not use the device, but to
return it to the store for repair. Only service personnel using special tools may replace a
damaged cord.
7. We strongly advise against using other accessories not included with the appliance.
8. Make sure that the cord, or extension cord if necessary, is placed where no one can stumble
over it and away from hot surfaces.
9. Remove the accessories prior to cleaning.
10.Do not place the mixer near heat sources.
U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE-neutral
BROWN-LIVE
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
NEITHER CORE should be connected to the earth terminal of a three pin plug marked with the
letter E or or coloured green and yellow.
With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 13 amp fuse should be fitted. If any other type of
plug is used a 15 amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or at the distribution board.
