ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Over-temperature protection
This appliance is equipped with a temperature sensor and automatic shutdown system to protect the induction hob from damage. The temperature
inside the induction hob is continuously monitored and the appliance will switch o automatically when a critical temperature is being measured.
Detection of small articles
When a cooking zone is switched on and a pot of unsuitable size, a non-magnetic pot (e.g. aluminium), or a small item (e.g. knife, fork, key) is detected on
the appliance, it automatically enters standby-mode after 1 minute. The fan will keep cooling down the appliance for a further 1 minute.
Automatic shutdown functions
• Shutdown function A: Cooking zones with a suitable pot still on it will be shut down after a certain amount of time has elapsed. The time until
shutdown depends on the heat level setting:
Power level Keep warm 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Default working timer 2 8 hours 4 hours 2 hours
• Shutdown function B: When the pot is removed from the cooking zone but you forget to switch o the cooking zone the appliance stops heating
immediately. The hob automatically switches o after 2 minutes.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem / Error code display Possible Cause Solution
The cooktop cannot be turned on. No power. Make sure the cooktop is connected to the power
supply and that it is switched on.
Check the household fuse for the appliance. Check
whether there is a power cut by trying other electric
appliances.
The touch controls are unresponsive. The controls are locked. Unlock the controls ( Child lock).
The touch controls are dicult to
operate.
There may be a slight lm of water over the controls or
you may be using the tip of your nger when touching
the controls.
Make sure the touch control area is dry. Use the ball of
your nger when touching the controls.
Some pans make crackling or
clicking noises.
This may be caused by the construction of your
cookware (layers of dierent metals vibrating
dierently).
This is normal for cookware and does not indicate a
fault.
The induction hob makes a low
humming noise when used on a
high heat setting.
This is caused by the technology of induction cooking. This is normal, but the noise should quieten down or
disappear completely when you decrease the heat
setting.
Fan noise coming from the
induction hob.
A cooling fan built into your induction hob has come
on to prevent the electronics from overheating. It may
continue to run even after you’ve turned the induction
hob o.
This is normal and needs no action. Do not switch the
power to the induction hob o at the wall while the
fan is running.
Pan does not heat up and it does not
appear in the display.
The induction hob cannot detect the pan because it is
not suitable for induction cooking.
Use cookware suitable for induction cooking
( Choosing the right cookware).
The induction hob cannot detect the pan because it is
too small for the cooking zone or not properly centred
on it.
Centre the pan and make sure that its base matches
the size of the cooking zone.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
• For domestic use only.
• Never place the induction hob directly into water.
• Never place an empty pan on the hob as this might cause damage to the pan. The over-temperature protection might cause an automatic shutdown
of the appliance.
• When a cooking zone has been on for a long time, the surface remains hot for some time afterwards so do not touch the glass surface.
• Occasionally check that nothing is obstructing the air inlet beneath the induction hob.
• If the surface of the hob is cracked, disconnect from power supply the appliance to avoid any possibility of electric shocks.
• Do not place rough or uneven vessels on the hob, as they could damage the glass surface.
• Avoid banging pots and pans down on the hob.
The glass surface is tough but not unbreakable.
• Do not leave metal objects, such as knives, forks, spoons and lids on the hob as they may get hot.
• Do not store detergents or ammable materials beneath the hob.
• Only clean the hob when it has cooled suciently.
• When the power to the cooktop is switched o, there will be no residual heat indication but the cooking zone may still be hot. Take extreme care!
