Y our One For All r emote control can learn an y function from any other working remote
control. This can be useful if you are missing one or more functions from y our original
remote contr ol and would like to add them to the Smart Control . Y ou can learn onto any
key except Magic, Devic es or Activity. There are even 3 blank key s provided (A, B and C)
so that you can use these for functions that don ’t have a corresponding key on the Smart
Control .
Y ou can also learn a complete device if you can ’t find a code.
T o learn, firstly make sure you have all y our original remote contr ols to hand, and that they
have working batteries in. T o lear n functions, the original remote should be
approximat ely 3cm from the OF A remote , pointing towar ds it as shown below:
1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice . The LED
under the current mode key will stay lit.
2. Using the DEVICES key, make sure the LED f or the device you want t o learn
functions on is lit.
3. Press 975 – the LED will blink twice.
4. Press and release the key you w ant to learn a function onto (for example
the A key) – The Watch T V , Listen T o Music and Custom LEDs will light up .
5. Press and release the key on the original remot e.
6. The LED will blink twice to indicate the key has been learned correctly .
7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each key you want t o learn – remember you can learn from multiple
remotes, but only one function per key .
8. When you learned all the functions you require, pr ess and hold the MAGIC
key until the LED blinks twice and turns off.
Hints
• If the LEDs shows one long blink at step 6, the function was not learned correctly, please try again
from step 4.
• If you find one or more keys don’ t work properly after set up, y ou can re-enter the learning mode
at any time by repea ting the procedure from st ep 1.
If you always use one device to c ontrol volume , for example your T V or an A V Receiver , you
can set up the Smart Control to always con trol that device , regardless of which device y our
remote is contr olling.
T o do this:
1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice. The LED under the
current mode key will stay lit.
2. Press 993 – the LED will blink twice.
3. Use the DE VICES key to select the Device you want to lock the Volume to .
4. Press M AGIC once – the LED will blink twice and volume is no w locked.
If there is one particular device you would like to exclude fr om the V olume Lock (and
control its own v olume), you can do this by the f ollowing:
1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice. The LED under the
current mode key will stay lit.
2. Press 993 – the LED will blink twice .
3. Use the DE VICES key to select the Device you remov e from Volume Lock.
4. Press VOL UME DOWN – the LED will blink four times and device is now r emoved.
T o unlock the volume and set every device back to controlling its own v olume, the
procedure is:
1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice.
The LED under the current mode key will stay lit.
2. Press 993 – the LED will blink twice .
3. Press VOL UME UP – the LED will blink four times and Volume is now unlocked.
Please note that Volume Lock only applies in Device Mode – Activities are unaff ected.
PROGRAM A MA CRO
Y ou can program an y key on your OF A remote (ex cept Magic and Devices) to send
multiple commands on a single press –a Macro . This can be useful for controlling multiple
devices to put them in a certain state – for instance y ou could put your T V on HDMI 1
and press Play on the Blu-ra y player to start watching a movie . A key programmed with a
Macro will send the same Macro regardless of the devic e mode, so it is best to select a key
you don ’t use , or use one of the spare A, B or C keys.
T o program a macro , the procedure is as follows:
1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice.
The LED under the current mode key will stay lit.
2. Press 995 – the LED will blink twice.
3. Nex t select the key you want to program the Macr o on.
4. Now use the DEVICES key to selec t the device you want the first
function of the Macro to come from, for example T V .
5. Nex t, press the key you want t o include in the Macro, f or example
the A V key.
6. R epeat steps 4 (if necessary), and 5 to add more keys to the Macro . Y ou can include up
to 15 key presses.
7. T o store the Macro , hold down the MAGIC key until the LED blinks
twice.
* Remember to press the keys in the same order you would using your original remot es – so if you pressed A V on the TV
remote and then Play on the Blu-ra y remote to watch a movie , do it in the same order on the Smart Control.
* I f the LED shows a long blink when you pr ess a key in steps 3 or 4, you have ent ered too many keys , please try again.
TO DELETE A MA CRO
If you want to remov e a macro from a key , please per form the following:
1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice.
The LED under the current mode key will stay lit.
2. Press 995 – the LED will blink twice .
3. Press the key the macr o is programmed on.
4. Now hold down the MAGIC key until the LED blinks twice –
the Macro is deleted.
MACROS ON A CTIVITIES
Another handy feature of the Smart Control is t o put Macros on Activities; you could f or
example program the Watch T V Activity to send a Macro to turn on the TV and Set T op
Box when selected. T o do this, simply use the Activity key to selec t the Activity in step 3 of
the procedure “Program a Macro ” . Next time you use the Activity , the Macro will be sent 3
seconds after you select it using the Activity key.
If you want to delete a Macro fr om the Activity, select it during step 3 of “ T o D elete a
Macro ” .
Y our One For All Smart Control c ontains codes for all popular devices and br ands, but new
codes are added to our online database ev ery day. Using the One F or All App on
your iPhone or Android phone will allo w you to upgrade an y new codes into your
remote using Bluetooth Smart, also known as Bluetooth Low Energy*. This will ensure
that the remote will never bec ome obsolete. The App also gives you access t o some extra
features , such as setting up Activities.

An Activity is a grouping of two or more devices int o a single mode based upon what
you ’ re doing while using your r emote - for example T V and Set T op Box can be combined
together into a Watch T V mode. In this mode keys will control only the relevant devic e, so
in this example the V olume keys would contr ol the TV, but the channel keys w ould control
the Set T op Box.
The OF A Smart Control featur es 5 Activity Modes; W atch TV , W atch Movie , Listen T o Music,
Play Game and Custom. Each of these modes has a choice of devic es to combine.

1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice.

to delete functions from is lit.
3. Press 976 – the LED will blink twice .
4. Press the key t o delete twice – the LED will blink twice.
Repeat the above proc edure for each key y ou want to delete.

If you set up the default devices for an y Activity on the remote (for example a T V and STB
for Watch T V ) that Activity will be set up automatically on the remote . If you would like to
change to a differen t combination, the procedur e is as follows:
1. Hold down MA GIC until the LED under the device blinks twice.
The LED under the current mode key will stay lit.
2. Use the ACTIVIT Y key to scroll through the A ctivities until the
one you want to set is flashing .
3. Press the number of the c ombination you want to set – e .g 2
for T V + STB + AUD in W atch T V .
4. The LED will blink twice and go out.
T o access the Activities, simply press the A CTIVIT Y key to scroll through until the desired
one is lit. Y ou can return to con trolling by device by using the DEVICES key .
A V Shift
As the A V key is intended to select the input on your T V and most T V s use a menu to select
from a list of inputs, when the A V key is pressed in an Activity , the Menu Up, Down, L eft,
Right and OK keys temporarily control the T V . If the OK key is pressed, or no key is pressed
for ten seconds , these keys will revert to controlling the r elevant device f or the Activity
(e.g. STB in Watch T V Mode).
Po wer Macro
If you hold down the P ower key for 2 sec onds in any Activity , the remote will send the
Po wer function for each device contained within that A ctivity. So for example , holding
Po wer in the default setting for Watch T V will turn both the TV and Set T op Box on or off .
