This section explains how to play MP3 tracks with the

Disc Navigator.

Navigating MP3 Discs

Load an MP3 disc (page 45).

The Disc Navigator appears.

Initially, the Track list shows all of the

folders at the root level. Pressing the

Play [ ] button at this point will play

all tracks in all folders in hierarchical

order.

The DV-SP1000/DV-SP1000E num-

bers folders and tracks in hierarchical

order. You can use these numbers to

select folders and tracks directly with

the Search function (see page 49).

To open a folder, use the Up and

Down [ ]/[ ] buttons to select

it, and then press [ENTER].

The Track list shows the ﬁles and

subfolders in the currently open

folder.

Use the Up and Down [ ]/[ ]

buttons to select ﬁles and sub-

folders in the open folder.

To open a folder in the Track list, press

the [ENTER] button. To close a folder

(i.e., move back up the directory tree),

press the [RETURN] BUTTON. Alter-

natively, select the item at the top of the

Track list and press the Play [ ] or

[ENTER] button.

To get back to the root level, press the

[TOP MENU] button. Alternatively,

select the item at the top of the Folder

list and press the Play [ ] or [ENTER]

button.

To play a track, select it in the

Track list, and then press the Play

[] or [ENTER] button.

If available, the following information

about the currently selected track is dis-

played: Title, Artist, and Album.

During playback, the following infor-

mation is displayed in the upper-right

corner: folder number, track number,

and elapsed time.

Subsequent tracks in the same folder

are played in order.

To play all of the tracks in a folder,

select the folder in the Track list (not

the folder at the top of the list), and then

press the Play [ ] button.

You can select the next or previous

track during playback by using the

Next [ ] and Previous [ ] buttons.

The ﬁrst press of the Previous [ ]

button selects the beginning of the cur-

rent chapter or track.

If during playback you press the [DIS-

PLAY] button to view information

about an MP3 track (see “Displaying

Information” on page 65), press the

[MENU] button to return to the Disc

Navigator.

Press the Stop [ ] button to stop

playback.
