o HOLIDAYS. This is employed to choo se a date period (d ay/month) on which
the unit will be deactiv ated (switched off). This period w ill repeated year by
year and begin to count from the 00:00:00 hours of the start day until the
23:59:59 hours o f the end day.
- DEACT. No holiday adju stment.
- EDIT. Configure th e start day and the end day of the hol iday lapse.
o KEYBOARD . Menu to activ ate or deactivate the key board blocking protection
to prevent unw anted access.
- BLOCK: NO. Protection is disabled.
- BLOCK: YES. Protection i s enabled.
This protection is automatically activated 10 seconds after entering into
MAIN screen mode. If key board is pressed, messa ge KEYBOARD
BLOCKED is displayed. At this point, in order to grant access and clea rs
the protection, next key board sequence must be p ressed: C ▼ ▲ C .
If a wrong sequence is pressed, me ssage KEYBOARD ERROR will be
displayed during several secon ds. If correct sequence is pr essed,
NORMAL mode will be displayed and the dev ice will be unprotected for 10
seconds. During this lapse, access to MENU functions is gr anted by
pressing .
o COUNTER. Menu i n which we will be able to know the ON-time (in hours) of
each channel.
- ERASE C1. It pu ts the hour counter of channel 1 to zero
- ERASE C2. It pu ts the hour counter of channel 2 to zero
o INFRARED. For data downloading using the remo te control, see the section
DATA DOWNLOADING WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL). This option only
works when the appliance is conne cted to the power mains.
o CONTRAST. Menu in which we can in crease or reduce th e display con trast.
- MINIMUM, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, MAXIMUM
When a key is p ressed, the contrast will rise to the maximum lev el for three
seconds. If no key has been pre ssed at the end o f this time, the contra st will
return to the prev iously selecte d value.
The display is alway s at maximum contrast during prog ramming.
o VERSION. This indicates the install ed so ftwa re vers ion .
If operations are programmed tha t coincide in time, i t must be taken into account
that some take prio rity over others. Th e priority order is a s follows:

The data to be programmed alw ays appear on scr een in flashing mode.
MANUAL OPERATION
The status of the circuits may be temporarily activated or deactiv ated when in
NORMAL mode by pressing the▼
C1 and ▲ C2 keys. The sy mbol
will appear
on the screen until a programmed au tomatic operation takes place.
Once changed, it is possibl e to return to NORMAL mode by repeatedly pressing C.
To verify channel status, the
key (INFO) should be pressed until the desired
information appears.
RESET
Pressing the four keys at the same time until START AT appears on the display will
delete all existing programming and the LANGUAGE MENU operating mode w ill be
entered. The unit must be sw itched on in order to ex ecute RESET.
BATTERY CHANGE
The unit has an operational 4-y ear backup using a replaceable lithium battery.
Replacement of the battery is carried o ut by withdrawing the rotati ng button located
on the right side o f the unit. When th e battery is exhausted and the device is n ot
powered up “REPLACE BATTERY” is shown on the screen.
NOTE: When changing the battery the unit programmin g is not lost, however the
current time is lost. So we have to carry out the TIME SETTING again by means of
the CLOCK menu.
The battery cover is opened by rotatin g it counter-clockwise (marked by an arrow)
with a coin or other flat object in serted into its slo t, until the cove r index coincides
with the open position on the unit. After replacing the battery, the cover is inserted
by placing it in the same po sition with the cov er index coinciding w ith the open
position on the unit and then turning it clo ckwise until the cov er index coincides
with the closed position on the unit.
SWITCH THE UNIT OFF WHEN REPLACING THE BATTERY
DATA-DOWNLOADING WITH THE REM OTE CONTROL
Provided the DATA LOG + / 2+ is pow ered up, it can be controlled using an
infrared remote co ntrol. Both the DATA and GPS SAT remote control mode ls can
be used with the D ATA LOG + / 2+.
This control can be used to read the equipment configura tion, which will consist o f
the following parameters:
- Dates and times for summer and winter time s changes
- Currently selected backlight intensi ty
- Language
- Programs
- Keyboard blocking selection
- Holidays (start and end dates)
This control can also be use d to download all this configuration or just the current
date and time.
Infrared remote control acce ss can be achieved in three different way s:
1) In normal mode, the DATA LOG + / 2+ detects infrared communication from a
control positioned in fron t and pressing MENU will cause the text “INFRARED
PRESS MENU” to appear on the screen. Communications w ith the remote
control can now ta ke place.
2) In norma l mode, pressing the MENU key for more than thr ee seconds will
display the text “IN FRARED WAITING”. Pres sing MENU will provide acce ss to
this function.
3) Pressing MENU in normal mode will enter menu selecti on. The ▼ and ▲ keys
are used to select MENU ADJUSTMENTS and MENU is pressed again to enter
this option. The ▼ and ▲ keys are used to select INFRARED ADJUSTMENTS
and this option is entered by pressin g MENU. Entering this menu will display
“INFRARED WAITING” and communications are now available w ith the remote
control.
