MISE EN PLACE / REMPLACEMENT DES PILES
Deux piles
Pour une meilleure performance, nous vous recommandons
l'utilisation de piles alcalines.
1. Enlevez la porte du compartiment à pile.
2. Insérez les piles.
3. Remettez en place la porte du compartiment à piles.
Le niveau des piles est indiqué sur l'affichage de l' état.
Remplacez les piles lorsque “BA
Note:
Il est possible que vous deviez procéder à la RÉINITIALISA
après les remplacement des piles.
Mise en garde:
• N'utilisez que des piles neuves du type et de la taille recommandée.
• Ne mélangez pas des piles neuves avec des piles usagées ou des piles de
type différent (standard, alcalines, ou rechargeable), ou encore des piles
rechargeables de capacités différentes.

Ne les enterrez surtout pas et ne les faites pas brûler
• Si vous n'avez pas l'intention d’utiliser votre dictaphone numérique pendant
une semaine voire davantage, retirez les piles de l'appareil. Les piles
peuvent fuir et les produits chimiques qu'elles contiennent peuvent détruire
les composants électroniques.
Utilisation du Dictaphone Numérique
Il existe deux modes de fonctionnement: le mode réveil et le mode
enregistrement. Le mode réveil se sélectionne automatiquement après
réinitialisation ou lorsque l'unité n'est pas activée durant 30 secondes
consécutives.
Pour entrer le mode enregistrement, appuyez sur REC ou PLA
sélectionné, les informations concernant le message et l'état des différents
paramètres s'affichent. Si vous appuyez sur REC pour entrer le mode
enregistrement, l'unité enregistre immédiatement.
Pour revenir au mode réveil, ne touchez pas à l'appareil pendant 30 secondes
consécutives ou appuyez sur MODE/INDEX.
Comment fonctionne le Mode Réveil

1. Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton DISP/SET en mode réveil.
Les chiffres des heures se mettent à clignoter
2. Appuyez sur VOL+/VOL- pour régler l'heure.
3. Appuyez sur DISP/SET
4. Appuyez sur VOL+/VOL- pour régler les minutes.
5. Appuyez sur DISP/SET
6. Appuyez sur VOL+/VOL- pour régler l'année.
7. Appuyez sur DISP/SET
8. Appuyez sur VOL+/VOL- pour régler le mois.

10. Appuyez sur VOL+/VOL- pour régler le jour
11. Appuyez sur DISP/SET pour revenir à un fonctionnement normal.

Lorsque vous modifiez l'heure de sonnerie, la fonction alarme est
automatiquement activée.

Lorsque la sonnerie retentit, appuyez sur n'importe quel bouton pour l'arrêter
La sonnerie s'arrêtera d'elle-même après 30 secondes si vous n'appuyez sur
aucun bouton.
Note:
Si l'unité se trouve en mode enregistrement à l'heure où la sonnerie doit
retentir, cette dernière n'émettra aucun son même si elle a été activée.
L'indicateur de sonnerie clignotera pendant 30 secondes si vous ne touchez
à aucun bouton.
Comment fonctionne le mode enregistrement
ENREGISTREMENT DES MESSAGES
1. Appuyez sur REC pour commencer un enregistrement. Les informations
et l'état du message que vous êtes en train d'enregistrer s'afficheront et
seront mis à jour automatiquement.
2. Appuyez sur REC pour arrêter l'enregistrement.
Aperçu de la Durée d'Enregistrement dont vous disposez
Pour visualiser la durée dont vous disposez, appuyez sur DISP/SET lorsque
vous enregistrez un message.

Getting Started
Thank you for purchasing the VR393 Digital V
only easy to use, it is also so small in size that you can bring along for
recording voice memo, conversion and discussion. VR393 allows you to
record up to 198 messages with a total duration of 90 minutes and organize
them into 2 separate folders. The messages will remain intact even when
the batteries are removed because of the non-volatile memory employed.

Using the Digital V
There are two operating modes: clock mode and recorder mode . Clock mode
is automatically selected upon reset and when the unit is left idle for 30 seconds.

Clock Mode Operations
SETTING THE CLOCK
1. Press and hold DISP/SET in clock mode. The hour digits blink.
2. Press VOL+/VOL- to adjust the hour
3. Press DISP/SET
4. Press VOL+/VOL- to adjust the minute.
5. Press DISP/SET
6. Press VOL+/VOL- to adjust the year
7. Press DISP/SET
8. Press VOL+/VOL- to adjust the month.
9. Press DISP/SET
10. Press VOL+/VOL- to adjust the day
11. Press DISP/SET to resume normal operation.
SETTING

Alarm is turned on automatically when the alarm time has been changed.
TURNING
1. Press MODE/INDEX in clock mode to show the alarm time.
2. Press VOL+/VOL- to turn alarm on or off. The

When the alarm sounds, press any button to stop the alarm or it stops
automatically in 30 sec. if no button is pressed.
Note:
If the unit is in recorder mode at preset alarm time, the alarm does not sound
even when alarm is turned on. The

Recorder Mode Operations
RECORDING MESSAGES
1. Press REC to start recording. Information and status of the message being
recorded will be shown and updated automatically
2. Press REC again to stop recording.

Indexes may be added to recorded messages so that you can search and listen
to specific portions of a message easily

Locating Messages
• When the unit is idle in recorder mode:
- Press SKIP/REV to go to the previous or the next message.
• When a message is being played:
- Press SKIP/REV to go to the previous index/message, the beginning of
the current index/message or the next index/message during playback.
- Press and hold SKIP/REV to go quickly to the earlier or latter portion
of the current message.
Section Repeat Playback
When a message is being played:
1. Press MODE/INDEX to mark the start of the section to be repeated.
2. Press MODE/INDEX the 2nd time to mark the end of the section to be
repeated. The marked section will be played repeatedly
3. Press MODE/INDEX the 3rd time to resume normal playback.
Introduction Scanning
When the unit is idle in recorder mode:
1. Press and hold PLA
The first 5 seconds of the messages is played and the unit proceeds to
the next message automatically
2. Press PLA
ADJUSTING VOLUME
Press VOL+/VOL- to increase or decrease playback volume. Playback volume
setting will be shown briefly
ERASING MESSAGES
When the unit is in recorder mode:
1. Press SKIP/REV to select the message to be erased.
2. Press ERASE. “ERASE” and the message no. to be erased are shown alternatively.
3. Press ERASE again to confirm.
Note:
All messages in a folder may be erased at the same time by:
1. Press and hold ERASE to erase all messages. “ERASE” and “ALL” are
shown alternatively
2. Press ERASE again to confirm.
LOCKING BUTTONS
1. Slide LOCK to the lock position to lock the control buttons. LOCK
indicator appears.
2. Slide LOCK to unlock position to unlock the control buttons.
Note:
The LOCK indicator blinks when button is pressed when the buttons are locked.
SETTING OPTIONS
There are 5 options you can set: the active folder, recording mode, MIC
sensitivity
confirmation tone on/off.
1. Press and hold DISP/SET in recorder mode. “FILE” and the total
duration of the messages recorded in the active folder are shown.
2. Press VOL+/VOL- to select the active folder (Folder

6. Press VOL+/VOL- to set MIC sensitivity (Auto, Hi or Lo). When
is selected, sensitivity of microphone is adjusted automatically

for dictation.
7. Press DISP/SET to proceed to the next option. “VOX” is shown.
8. Press VOL+/VOL- to turn VOX on or of
the unit pauses recording automatically when no voice is detected for
2 seconds.
9. Press DISP/SET to proceed to the next option. “BEEP” is shown.
10. Press VOL+/VOL- to turn button press confirmation tone on or off.
11. Press DISP/SET to resume normal operation.
CONNECTING EARPHONE or EXTERNAL MICROPHONE
Connect a condenser microphone (not included) with a 3.5mm mini-plug to
extend the recording range. When an external microphone is plugged in, the
built-in microphone is disabled automatically
Connect an earphone (included) to listen to recorded messages privately
When an earphone is plugged, the built-in speaker is disabled automatically
Caution:

1. Do no listen with earphone when the unit is in clock mode.
2. Set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin listening and adjust
the volume to a comfortable level eventually
3. Do not listen at extremely high volume levels or you risk to lose hearing
permanently

volumes over time. So, a volume level that does not cause discomfort
might still damage your hearing.
