Preparations
≥Prepare the power supply (➡ pages 12 and 13).
≥Connect the television and adjust the necessary settings (➡ pages 14 and 15).
1 Slide the lock release and open the disc
lid.
2 Insert a disc.
Close the disc lid by hand.
≥Face the label of the side to be played up.
3 Press and hold [1, ON] to
start play.
The unit comes on automatically.
See below if a menu appears.
Using menus: Basic operations
e.g.:
Press the numeric buttons to select an item.
Or
Use the cursor jockey [3, 4, 2, 1] to highlight
an item and press [ENTER].

≥The surface of the unit may become warm if it is used for a long time, but this is normal and not an in-
dication of malfunction.
≥The disc is still spinning while a menu is on the television. Press [∫] if you have finished viewing.
≥When [1] is pressed immediately after a DVD disc is loaded into the tray, play will take a little longer
to start than when [1] is pressed from the stop mode.
≥It usually takes a little while before picture and sound appear on the television after [1] is pressed,
this is not a malfunction of the unit.
