and the power outlet correctly.
R The handset has lost communication with the base unit. Move
closer to the base unit and try again.
R Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the unit.
Reconnect the adaptor and try again.
R The handset’s registration may have been cancelled.
Re-register the handset (page 34).

hone Line
R T
he supplied telephone line cord has not been connected yet
or not connected properly. Check the connections (page 11).
Error

ecording was too short. Try again.
Memory Full

he phonebook memory is full. Erase unwanted entries
(page 23).
R The call block list memory is full. Erase unwanted entries
(page 21).
R The maximum number of base units (4) is already registered
to the handset. Cancel unused base unit registrations from
the handset (page 34).

R A wrong type of battery such as alkaline or manganese was
inserted. Use only the rechargeable Ni-MH batteries noted on
page 4, 8.

R You must subscribe to a Caller ID service. Once you receive
caller information after subscribing to a Caller ID service, this
message will not be displayed.
Troubleshooting
I
f you still have difficulties after following the instructions in this section, disconnect the base unit’s
AC adaptor and turn off the handset, then reconnect the base unit’s AC adaptor and turn on the
handset.
