RThe key lock feature is turned on. Turn it off (page 20).
I cannot make or answer a
call.
RAn outside line is being used after a mobile locator feature is
used.
To end the call, press M N on the base unit.
Caller ID/Talking Caller ID
Problem Cause/solution
Caller information is not
displayed.
RYou must subscribe to a Caller ID service. Contact your phone
service provider for details.
RIf your unit is connected to any additional telephone
equipment, remove and plug the unit directly into the wall jack.
RIf you use a DSL/ADSL service, we recommend connecting a
DSL/ADSL filter between the base unit and the telephone line
jack. Contact your DSL/ADSL provider for details.
ROther telephone equipment may be interfering with this unit.
Disconnect the other equipment and try again.
Caller information is
displayed or announced
late.
RDepending on your phone service provider, the unit may
display the callers information at the 2nd ring or later. Set the
first ring to “Off” (page 26).
RMove closer to the base unit.
Caller information is not
announced.
RTo use the Talking Caller ID feature, store the name and
phone number in the phonebook (page 21).
RThe handset or base unit’s ringer volume is turned off. Adjust it
(page 17, 26).
RThe Talking Caller ID feature is turned off. Turn it on (page 26).
RDepending on the number of rings setting, the answering
system may answer calls before announcing the caller
information. Select a different setting (page 42).
Time on the unit has
shifted.
RIncorrect time information from incoming Caller ID changes the
time. Set the time adjustment to “Manual” (off) (page 26).
The name stored in the
phonebook is not fully
displayed while an outside
call is being received.
REdit the phonebook entry name to fit in 1 line of text (page 22).
