Each track and disc can have a title of up to 100 characters in length
(97 when recorded with LP2 or LP4).
A maximum of about 1700 characters can be entered.
“LP:” is automatically added to the beginning of track titles when you use
MDLP, so the number of characters you can put in an MD is reduced.
When you put tracks into groups, this group information is also recorded
and reduces the number of characters an MD can hold.
Preparation:
Press [q/h MD] to select MD as the source then press
[g
STOP/CANCEL].
1 While stopped
Press [TITLE].
2 Press [u/2 REW/ ] or [1/i /FF] to select
the item to be titled.
Each time you press the button:
Disc
,/ Track 1 ,/ Track 2... ,/ Final track
3 Press [ENTER].
4 Enter the required characters. (

5 Press [ENTER].
Titling is complete after the message “UTOC Writing” and
“” flash on the display.
Repeat steps 2–5 until all required titles are entered.
6 Press [TITLE] to finish.
To cancel part way through titling
Press [g STOP/CANCEL].
Any titles already entered remain.
The previous display is restored.
