by users themselves.
Quick guide
Charging the T ablet
Please charge your T ablet fully befor e using it f or the
irst time.
→ Connect the DC plug on the supplied power adapter to the
charging sock et (DC IN) on the T ablet.
→ Then plug the power adapter in to a socke t.
The charging LED lights up while the device is char ging.
→ Only leav e the power adapter connected to the sock et
until the battery o f the T ablet is fully charged. In addition,
always disconnect the power adapter f rom the T ablet
when y ou are not char ging the T ablet.
→ Ensure that y ou only use a po wer supply unit that
corresponds t o the technical data stated on the T ablet .
Using power supply units e. g. with a higher voltage causes
irrev ersible damage to your device , which is not cov ered b y
the warran ty .
T urning on the T ablet for the irst time
a Optional: Dock the keyboar d on the tablet so that the
screen f aces the k eyboar d. If necessary , unf old the tablet
stand so that the scr een is at least 90° to the k eyboar d.
→ There is a magnetic lock in the k eyboar d docking area o f
the ke yboard as well as on the lower edge o f the tablet.
K eep things that ar e sensitive to magnetic ields away
fr om it.
b Press the on/ off switch for about 3 seconds to switch
on the T ablet . The setup assistant will then appear
on the screen.
c Follow the setup assistant instructions to se t up y our T ablet .
→ During the startup, the wizard pr ompts y ou to register f or
your Micr osof t account. If you do not yet hav e a Microsof t
account, please set one up here .
After completion of the startup, y our T ablet is conigured.
This may take se veral minut es to complete . Do not turn
the T ablet off during this time!
Unlocking the display
As soon as the device has been set up ( and ever y time it is
subsequently swit ched on and booted up ), the lock scr een
appears. Press an y ke y on the k eyboar d or swipe up the
screen to unlock it.
→ If your T ablet is password-pr otected, you must then
enter the passwor d.
→ Alternatively , you c an also log into your T ablet via Windows
Hello. T o ac tivate and set up this f eatur e, select "Settings"
→ "Navigation" (three horiz ontal lines) → " Accounts"
→ "Sign-in options" → "Windows Hello " .
Start menu
T o display the start menu, click the Windows icon in the bot -
tom of the display or pr ess the Windows button on the k ey -
board. Pr ess the icon a sec ond time to hide the S tart menu.
The Start menu shows the most useful
apps in the upper ar ea and r ecommended
applications and rec ently used iles in
the lower ar ea.
In the upper list you will ind, among
other things, the link to open the settings
( cogwheel symbol). In the app ar ea,
you can " pin" and or ganise apps and
favourit es in the f orm of icons.
→ Y ou will find a list of all installed apps in alphabetical
order under " All Apps" . An alphabetic quick access to the
navigation list appears when you click on a r espective first
letter .
Quick Settings
The ke y combination [Windows] + [A] opens the quick
settings with short links to some important functions
of the T ablet.
Activating WiF i and opening the browser
a Call up Settings (see " Start menu").
b In the settings, click "Navigation" (thr ee horiz ontal lines)
and then "Network & Internet" .
c Click the WiFi slider or the wor d "Of f" . The word "On"
now appears ne xt to the slider .
→ The T ablet searches for all available wir eless networks
nearby and then displays them as a list ("Show av ailable
networks").
d Click the network that y ou wish to connect to.
e Enter the ne twork k ey (passwor d) if necessary .
f Click "Connect" . The T ablet connects to the selected
network.
→ The button f or launching the Internet br owser can be f ound
on the task bar at the bot tom of the display . Click the little
blue " e " to launch the bro wser . T o enter an Interne t address
(URL), click the sear ch bar displayed cen trally at the top of
the window .
Reset
If the T ablet "fr eez es" and no longer r esponds, y ou can
reset it. Press and hold down the on/ off switch f or at least
10 seconds until the T ablet switches off . W ait f or about
20 seconds and then turn the T ablet on normally .
→ Any files that hav e not been saved will be lost when the
T ablet is rese t.
Switching off the T ablet
Standby
Briely pr ess the on/ off switch on the device to activate
the standby mode. Pr ess it again quickly to tak e the T ablet
out of standby mode.
Shutting down
Open the Start menu. Click " " in the bottom ar ea of the
Start menu and then tap "Shut do wn" . The T ablet
shuts down.
EN Saving energy
■Deactivate the WiFi f unction when it is not in use.
■Only leave the power adap ter connected to the socket un til
the T ablet' s battery is f ully char ged. In addition, always
disconnect the power adapter f rom the T ablet when you are
not charging the T ablet .
■Reduce the display brightness under "Sy stem" → "Display"
in the settings.
■Activate standby mode or turn off the T ablet completely
if you are no t using the T ablet .
Using the pen
The pen included in the package c ontents of deliv ery is an
active pen.
Insert batter y
Unscrew the cap and insert the battery ( 1.5V , AAAA , LR61)
with the positive pole in the dir ection of the pen tip .
As soon as the battery is inserted and the battery cap
is screwed back on, the pen can be used.
Pen tip
Y ou can use the pen in any app that supports ink (such as
drawing apps, W or d, P owerPoin t, OneNote, and many others).
Use the pressur e-sensitive tip to write and draw on
the screen. T ouch the display with the pen tip. The display
automatically rec ognizes the pen.
→ It is activated as soon as y ou touch the display and shows
a small point. If you put light pr essur e on the tip , you can
now operate the t ablet with the pen. Depending on the
app, the stronger the pressur e on the tip, the greater the
thickness of the pen.
→ Depending on the app, the functions of the pen c an be
diff er ent.
Function k ey s of the pen
The function k eys enables acc ess to conte xt menus
in the apps that support Microsof t Inking.
→ If Microso ft Inking is not supported, the function ke ys
may hav e other possible uses.
