Operation
Depending on the type of dish, select a higher
or lower power setting (see power setting
table).
■ Set the desired power level using the
power-setting dial.
This microwave oven has 5 power settings.
The maximum power is 600 W. The table
below shows the various power settings.
■ Set the desired preparation time using the
timer.
■ If the desired preparation time is less than
two minutes, turn the dial further and then
turn it back to the desired time.
■ The microwave oven will start to operate.
■ When the set time has elapsed, you will
hear a signal and the microwave oven will
switch off.
■ Defrosting
If you wish to defrost a dish rapidly, select
a low setting or the defrost setting. When
defrosting larger portions stop defrosting
while the middle of the food is still frozen
and leave for approximately 15 minutes.
■ Heating
Meals can be heated directly on the plate.
For heating select the highest power
setting.
■ Large pieces of meat
Large pieces of meat should not be
prepared only in the microwave oven at full
power. Select a power setting of
approx. 400 W (setting ). One
common method is to fry the meat briefly in
hot fat and then to finish off the cooking in
the microwave. Remember that large
pieces of meat continue to cook for a long
while after heating has finished!
■ Small pieces of meat
Fry small pieces of meat, like steaks or
schnitzels, in a frying pan. This gives the
best result.
■ Do not heat products with a crispy coating
or crust (such as hard buns) in the
microwave oven. You will get a better
result in a hot-air oven.
