Selecting a Focus Mode
None Auto
The camera is focused on the subject in the focusing
area when the shutter release button is pressed halfway.
Macro Mode This mode is used when the distance to the subject is
approx. 14cm-50cm (0.46ft-1.64ft).The camera is
focused on the subject in the focusing area when the
shutter release button is pressed halfway.
Infinity-landscape mode
This mode is used for taking distant objects.
Manual Focus Mode
The subject is brought into focus manually.
z Press the button in Capture mode.
The focus mode changes each time the button is pressed and
the setting is displayed on the LCD monitor.
The camera is ready to take the picture in the set focus mode.
The focus mode returns to [Auto] when the camera is turned off.
If you take a picture while looking through the viewfinder when
the focus mode is set on Macro, the range of the resulting pic-
ture may differ from what was seen in the viewfinder.
Manual Focus
You can focus the camera on the subject manually when the mode
is set on .
