09. Conformity

10. Disposal

This symbol indicates that the product must be disposed of in a sep-

arate waste collection point within the European Union. This applies

to the product and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products

marked as such may not be discarded with normal domestic waste,

but must be taken to a collection point for recycling electrical and

electronic devices.

Packaging

If you want to dispose of the packaging, make sure you comply with

the environmental regulations applicable in your country.

Removing the batteries

This device is operated with two rechargeable nickel-metalhydride batteries,

which you must remove before disposing of the device.

DANGER! You must be technically minded to remove the batteries,

otherwise there is the danger of injuring yourself.

If you do not have any experience with tools, you should have the

battery removed by a person who is qualiﬁed to do this.

• Ensure that the batteries are not damaged as you remove it.

Danger of ﬁre!

• The removed batteries must not be used again.

• Never short-circuit the batteries. The contacts on the removed bat-

teries must not be connected by metallic objects. The batteries may

overheat and explode.

WARNING! Only remove the batteries to dispose of the device. The

device is destroyed by removing the batteries. Never try to operate a

disassembled device.

You need:

1 Philips screwdriver (small) /1 pair of side cutting pliers (small).

1. Disconnect the device from the mains power supply.

2. Use the on / off switch

(5) to switch on the shaver and let it run until

the batteries are empty.

NOTE: The battery contains a certain amount of residual electricity even after

being completely discharged. Repeatedly switching the shaver on and letting

the motor run empties the battery of this residual electricity.

3. Press the unlocking button (4) and remove the attachment from the

appliance.

4. With only little force, tap the long side on the table a few times – the un-

locking button must be facing upwards. The housing can now be opened

easily. If necessary, this can be done by using a small Philips screwdriver.

5. Use side cutting pliers to cut all cables and remove the batteries.

6. Subsequently, you can dispose of all components properly and in accord-

ance with the environmental regulations (→ 10. Disposal).

The nickel-metal hydride batteries used for this device may not

be treated as household waste. The batteries must be disposed of

properly. Contact battery distributors or local waste disposal points

for this.
