Before filling the foot bath with water, ensure
- that both the massage switch (A) and warming
switch (B) are in position O (= "off");
- that the mains plug is not in the wall socket.
• If you use the appliance with water:
- Pour water of the required temperature
(approx. 37° C or 100° F) into the foot-bath
(fig. 2).
Do not fill higher than the maximum water level
indication (D) (fig. 3).
You may add bath salts.
- Position the appliance on an even floor and in
front of a chair.
- Insert the mains plug into a wall socket.
- Sit down on the chair. Then position your feet
on the massaging plate (fig. 4). Do not stand
on the massaging plate (fig. 5).
• If you use the appliance with water:
- You can set the warming switch (B) to position
$ (fig. 6). The warming indicator light (C) will
come on.
In this case the water will cool downslower.
• If you use massage (with or without water):
- Set the massage switch (A) to position !
(= on) (fig. 7).
The massaging tip (F) in particular has a
penetrative effect (fig. 8).
- After use, set the switch(es) to position O
(fig. 9). Remove the mains plug from the wall
socket.
- Pour out the water by holding the appliance
with one corner pointing downwards (fig. 10).
- You can store excess mains cord at the
underside of the appliance (fig. 11).
Cleaning
- Before cleaning remove the mains plug from
the wall socket.
- The appliance may be cleaned with a damp
cloth. If required, use some liquid detergent.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not
rinse either. Ensure that no water runs into the
appliance.
Do not use scourers, abrasives, acetone, alcohol
etc. for cleaning.
Guarantee and service
This product is guaranteed by Philips for a period
of one year after the date of purchase against
defects due to faulty workmanship or materials.
The guarantee covers both parts and labour.
Service under guarantee is provided only upon
presentation of reasonable evidence (e.g.
completed guarantee card or purchase receipt)
that the date of the claim is within the guarantee
period.
The guarantee is not valid if the defect is due to
accidental damage, misuse or neglect and in
case of alterations or repair carried out by
unauthorised persons.
Service (during and after guarantee) is available
in all countries where the product is officially
distributed by Philips. In countries where Philips
do not distribute the product, the local Philips
service organisation will also arrange service
although there may be a delay if the required
spare parts are not readily available.
