you use the delicate area epilator and sa ve it f or
future reference.
Danger
- Keep the adapter dr y (Fig. 1).
- If you charge the epilator in the bathroom, do
not use an extension cord.
W arning
- Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
- The adapter contains a transfor mer . Do not cut
off the adapter to replace it with another plug,
as this causes a hazardous situation.
- This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above persons with reduced
physical, sensor y or mental capabilities or lack
experience and knowledge if they hav e been
given super vision or instr uction concer ning use
of the appliance in a safe wa y and under stand
the hazards inv olved. Children shall not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children
without super vision.
- Only use the epilator in combination with the
adapter supplied.
Caution
- The epilator is intended for epilating delicate
areas such as the bikini area, bikini line ,
underar ms and lower face.
- For hygienic reasons, the epilator should only
be used by one person.
- T o prevent damage and injuries, keep the
epilator awa y from scalp hair , eyebrows,
eyelashes, clothes, threads, cords, brushes etc .
- Always check the appliance bef ore you use it.
Do not use an appliance , adapter or any other
par t if it is damaged, as this may cause injur y .
Always replace a damaged adapter or par t
with one of the original type .
- Do not use the epilator on irr itated skin or
skin with varicose veins, r ashes, spots, moles
(with hair s) or wounds without consulting y our
doctor r st. P eople with a reduced immune
response or people who suffer from diabetes
mellitus, haemophilia or immunodeciency
should also consult their doctor r st.
- Y our skin may become a little red and
irr itated the r st few times you use the
epilator . This phenomenon is absolutely
normal and disappear s. As you epilate more
often, your skin gets used to epilation, skin
irr itation decreases and regrowth becomes
thinner and softer . If the ir ritation has not
disappeared within three days, we advise y ou
to consult a doctor .
- T o prevent from burning, do not clean the
epilator with water that is hotter than show er
temperature (max. 40°C).
- Never use compressed air , scouring pads,
abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids
such as petrol or acetone to clean the
appliances.
Electroma gnetic elds (EMF)
This Philips epilator complies with all applicable
standards and regulations regarding exposure to
electromagnetic elds.
General
- This symbol means that the delicate area
epilator is suitable for use in a bath or
show er (Fig. 2).

Preparing f or use
Charging
Charging the delicate area epilator takes approx.
5 hour s. When the epilator is fully charged, it has a
cordless operating time of up to 30 minutes. If the
epilator is not fully charged, the oper ating time is
shor ter .
Note: No disposable batteries needed.
1 Switch off the appliance.
2 Place the appliance in the charging case.
Note: Mak e sur e the charging pins of the epilator are
in full contact with the charging case . Y ou hear a c lick
when full contact has been established.
3 Insert the small plug in the bottom of the
charging case (1) and insert the adapter into
the wall sock et (2).

The charging light lights up green contin uously
to indicate that the appliance is charging.
Note: When the batter y is fully c harged, the light
goes out.
Using the delicate area epilator
The epilator is primar ily intended to remov e hair s
by the root in the delicate areas such as bikini area,
bikini line , under arms and lower face. Y ou can also
use it to epilate hard-to-reach areas such as knees
and ankles. The appliance can be used wet or dr y .
Epilating tips
- W et: W e advise you to star t epilating on
wet skin, as water relaxes the skin and mak es
epilation less painful and gentler . Use your
common show er gel or foam for a smoother
epilation.
- Dr y: If y ou epilate dr y , epilation is easier just
after taking a bath or show er . Make sure your
skin is completely dr y when you star t epilating.
- General: Y our skin should be entirely clean
and free of oil. W e advise you to epilate in the
evening, as skin irr itation usually disappear s
ov ernight.
- General: Epilation is easier and more
comfor table when the hairs have a length
of 3-4 mm. If the hair s are longer , we
recommend that you sha ve r st and epilate
the shor ter regrowing hair s after 1 or 2 weeks.
Alternatively , you can trim the hair s to 3-4 mm
before y ou star t epilating.
Epilating your delicate ar eas
T o get used to epilation in delicate areas, for
instance your face, r st epilate a small area.
Make sure y our skin is stretched. It is recommended
to use the delicate area epilator in the evening so
that any irr itation can disappear o vernight.
T o protect your skin, the protective bar on the
back of the epilating head helps you to k eep the
epilator at the right angle .
Caution: Do not use this appliance to epilate
ey ebro ws or ey elashes.
Caution: Do not use this appliance to r emove
hairs that gro w out of moles.
1 Thor oughly clean the area to be epilated.
Remov e any r esidues of deodorant, mak e-up,
cream etc.
Note: Check if the appliance is c leaned thoroughly
before e ver y use .
2 Press the on/off button to s witch on the
appliance.
3 T o epilate your upper lip , hold the appliance
with the on/off button pointing upwards.
Place the appliance on the skin abov e your
upper lip at an angle of 90°. Str etch the skin
with your other hand and mo ve the appliance
upwards.
4 T o epilate the bikini line , stretch the skin with
one hand to mak e the hairs stand upright and
reduce skin pulling. Place the appliance onto
the skin at an angle of 90° and slowly mo ve it
against the direction of hair gr owth.
5 T o epilate the underarms, lift your arm to
stretch the skin. Place the appliance onto
the skin at an angle of 90° and mov e the
appliance in differ ent directions to catch all
hairs.
6 Whenyouha venishedepilating, switchoff
the appliance and clean the epilating head
according to the instructions in chapter
‘Cleaning and maintenance’.
Tip: T o relax the skin, we advise you to apply a
moisturising cream or a calming gel, immediately or
a few hours after epilation.
Cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning the delicate area epilator
1 Remov e loose hairs with the cleaning brush.
2 Switch on the appliance.

Rinse the appliance while it is switched on,
with cold water for 15 seconds after ev er y use .
4 Shak e off excess water and let the appliance
d r y.
Storag e
- For protection during stor age or tr a vel, store
the appliance in the charging case .
Note: Mak e sure that all par ts are dr y when you
store them.
Recycling
- This symbol on a product means that the
product is cov ered by European Directive
2012/19/EU (Fig. 3).
- This symbol means that the product contains
a built-in rechargeable batter y covered by
European Directive 2006/66/EC which cannot
be disposed of with normal household waste .
W e strongly advise you to take y our product
to an ofcial collection point or a Philips
ser vice centre to hav e a professional remov e
the rechargeable batter y (Fig. 4).
- Inform your self about the local separate
collection system for electrical and electronic
products and rechargeable batter ies. Follow
local r ules and never dispose of the product
