WA TER AND MOISTURE — Do not use this
product nea r wate r — fo r exam ple, nea r a
bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or laundr y

pool; and the like.
ACCESSORIES — Do not p lace this pr oduct on an
unstable car t, stand, tr ip od, br acket, or table.
The pr oduct may fall, causing ser ious injur y to a
child or adult, and ser ious damage to the
product. Use only with a ca rt, stand, t ri pod,
br acket, or table r ecommended by the
manufactur er, or sold with the pr oduct. Any
mounting of the pr oduct should follow the
manufactur er ’s instr uctions, and should use a
mounting accessor y r ecommended by the
manufactur er.
CART — A pr oduct and car t combination should be
moved with car e. Quick stop s, excessive for ce,
and uneven sur faces may cause the pr oduct
and car t combination to over tur n.
VENTILA TION — Slots and op enings in the cabinet
ar e pr ovided for ventilation and to ensur e
reliable o pe ration of the product and to protect
it fr om over heating, and these op enings must
not be blocked or cover ed. The op enings should
never be blocked by p lacing the pr oduct on a
bed, sofa, r ug, or other similar sur face. This
product should not be placed in a built-in
installation such as a bookcase or r ack unless
pro pe r ventilation is provided o r the
manufactur er ’s instr uctions have been adher ed
to.
POWER SOURCES — This pr oduct should be
op er ated only fr om the typ e of p owe r sou
rce
indicated on the mar king label. If you ar e not
sur e of the typ e of p ower supp ly to your home,
consult your pr oduct dealer or local p owe r
comp any.
LOCA TION – The app liance should be installed in a
stable location.
NONUSE PERIODS – The p owe r cor d of the
app liance should be unp lugged fr om the outlet
when left un-used for a long p er iod of time.
GROUNDING OR POLARIZA TION
• If this product is equi pped with a pola rized
alter nating curr ent line p lug (a p lug having one
blade wider than the other ), it will fit into the
outlet only one way. This is a safety featur e. If
you ar e unable to inser t the p lug fully into the
outlet, tr y r ever sing the p lug. If the p lug should
still fail to fit, contact your electr ician to r ep lace
your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety
pu rpose of the pola rized plug.
• If this product is equi pped with a th ree-wi re
gr ounding typ e p lug, a p lug having a thir d
(gr ounding) p in, it will only fit into a gr ounding
typ e p ower outlet. This is a safety featu
re. If you
ar e unable to inser t the p lug into the outlet,
contact your electr ician to r ep lace your obsolete
outlet. Do not defeat the safety p urp ose of the
gr ounding typ e p lug.
POWER-CORD PROTECTION — Power-supp ly
cor ds should be r outed so that they ar e not likely
to be walked on or p inched by items p laced
up on or against them, p aying p ar ticular
attention to cor ds at p lugs, convenience
rece ptacles, and the point whe re they exit f rom
the pr oduct.
OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING — If an
outside antenna or cable system is connected to
the pr oduct, be sur e the antenna or cable
system is gr ounded so as to pr ovide some
pr
otection against voltage sur ges and built-up
static char ges. Ar ticle 810 of the National
Electr ical Code, ANSI/NFP A 70, pr ovides
infor mation with r egar d to pr op er gr ounding of
the mast and supp or ting str uctur e, gr ounding of
the lead-in wir e to an antenna dischar ge unit,
size of gr ounding conductor s, location of
antenna-dischar ge unit, connection to
gr ounding electr odes, and r equir ements for the
gr ounding electr ode. See Figur e A.
LIGHTNING — Fo r added protection fo r this
product du ring a lightning sto rm, o r when it is
left unattended and unused for long p er iods of
time, unp lug it fr om the wall outlet and
disconnect the antenna o
r cable system. This
will pr event damage to the pr oduct due to
lightning and p owe r -line sur ges.
POWER LINES — An outside antenna system
should not be located in the vicinity of over head
powe r lines o r othe r elect ric light o r powe r
cir cuits, or wher e it can fall into such p owe r
lines or cir cuits. When installing an outside
antenna system, extr eme car e should be taken
to keep fr om touching such p owe r lines or
cir cuits as contact with them might be fatal.
OVERLOADING — Do not over load wall outlets,
extension cor ds, or integr al convenience
rece ptacles as this can result in a risk of fi re o r
electr ic shock.
OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY — Never push
objects of any kind into this pr oduct thr ough
op enings as they may touch danger ous voltage
points o r sho rt-out pa rts that could result in a
fir e or electr ic shock. Never sp ill liquid of any
kind on the pr oduct.
SERVICING — Do not attemp t to ser vice this
product you rself as o pening o r removing cove rs
may exp ose you to danger ous voltage or other
hazar ds. Refer all ser vicing to qualified ser vice
pe rsonnel.
DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE — Unp lug this

following conditions:
• When the powe r-su pply co rd o r plug is
damaged.
• If liquid has been sp illed, or objects have fallen
into the pr oduct.
• If the product has been ex posed to rain o r wate r.
• If the product does not o pe rate no rmally by
following the op er ating instr uctions. Adjust only
those contr ols that ar e cover ed by the op er ating
instr uctions as an impr op er adjustment of other
contr ols may r esult in damage and will often
requi re extensive wo rk by a qualified technician
to r estor e the pr oduct to its nor mal op er ation.
• If the
product has been d ro pped o r damaged in
any way.
• When the product exhibits a distinct change in
pe rfo rmance — this indicates a need fo r se rvice.
REPLACEMENT P ARTS — When r ep lacement p ar ts
ar e r equir ed, be sur e the ser vice technician has
used r ep lacement p ar ts sp ecified by the
manufactur er or have the same char acter istics
as the or iginal p ar t. Unauthor ized substitutions
may r esult in fir e, electr ic shock, or other
hazar ds.
SAFETY CHECK — U pon com pletion of any se rvice

pai rs to this product, ask the se rvice
technician to p er for m safety checks to
deter mine that the pr oduct is in pr op er
op er ating condition.
WALL OR CEILING MOUNTING — The pr oduct
should not be mounted to a wall or ceiling.

heat sour ces such as r adiator s, heat r egister s,
