5. Environmental protection
5.1 Environmental protection: disposal
❖ Appliances bearing this symbol « » must not be disposed of together with
household waste throughout the EU. To prevent potential damage to the
environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal and to promote
the sustainable reuse of material resources, responsibly supply the appliance to a
recycling centre.
5.2 Environmental protection: energy saving
❖ Try to load the appliance up to its particular maximum capacity. Little loads are
uneconomical.
❖ Do not dry your clothes too long. This avoids creases and saves energy.
❖ Always select a drying programme according to the type of laundry and the
required drying level required.
❖ Accumulated contamination on the fluff filter reduces the air circulation, causes
longer drying-times and increased energy consumption. Clean the fluff filter after
each use of the appliance.
❖ Ensure that the installation room is well ventilated.
6. Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER! Never touch the power plug, the power switch or other
electrical components with wet or damp hands. RISK OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK!
WARNING! Disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning
and/or maintenance. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
WARNING! Remove possible dust accumulation at the power plug, at
the safety power socket and at all plug connectors regularly. RISK OF

WARNING! Never use a steam cleaner to clean the appliance. The
steam will cause serious damage to the electric components of the
appliance. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
