Here are the approximate numbers of pictures you can expect the camera
to hold at different resolution and quality settings based on the 16MB
internal memory. You can expand the memory with SD card, please refer
to “Capacity of SD Card” on page 76 for further detail.
Resolution: L 2560 X 1920 Fine: Approx. 8 pictures
Normal: Approx. 11 pictures
Resolution: M1 2048 X 1536 Fine: Approx. 16 pictures
Normal: Approx. 23 pictures
Resolution: M2 1280 X 960 Fine: Approx. 40 pictures
Normal: Approx. 48 pictures
Resolution: S 640 X 480 Fine: Approx. 129 pictures
Normal: Approx. 160 pictures
NOTE:
• Scene complexity affects a picture’s le size. For example, a picture of
trees in autumn has a larger le size than a picture of blue sky at the same
resolution and quality setting. Therefore, the number of pictures you can
store on the camera internal memory or a memory card may vary. The
number of pictures on the LCD screen is for reference only.
• Use the 2560 X 1920 resolution for printing pictures.
• This setting is available in both the Auto and A/S/M modes.
