Taking a Picture in Shutter Priority (S) Mode
Shutter priority is the ability to set the shutter speed over its full range
and have the camera calculate the best aperture to expose the image
correctly. When you set the shutter speed in the shutter speed-priority
mode, the camera automatically selects an aperture value to match the
brightness. Faster shutter speeds allow you to catch an instantaneous
image of a moving subject while slower speeds create a owing effect
and allow you to shoot without a ash in dark areas.
You can set the camera to S mode and take a picture by the following
steps:
1. Turn on the camera by sliding and holding the Power Switch in the
arrow direction shown near the switch for 2 seconds.
2. Set the camera in A/S/M mode.
