• Attach the accessory most suited for the kind of surface to be
cleaned, as indicated in the paragraph headed “Accessories”.
Plug the mains cable (2) into a suitable earthed mains power
outlet. The heater indicator light will come on (3).
• Wait until the heater indicator light (3) goes off, indicating that
the pistol is ready to deliver steam.
• To deliver steam, press the steam release button (1).
Due to the innovative shape of the pistol, you can put it down
as shown in figure 4 when you wish to temporarily stop using
it.
WARNING: Before putting the appliance away, empty the water
tank.
WARNING: Even when unplugged, the appliance may release
steam. Handle it carefully, therefore, and store out of reach of
anyone who does not know how to use it.

Various kinds of accessories may be connected to the
steam pistol, depending on the cleaning task to be performed.
The correct method of attaching accessories is as follows:
Insert the studs on the base of the accessories into the special
slots in the accessory connector (7).
Turn them anticlockwise until they fully lock onto the applian-
ce (fig. 5).
WARNING: Since the accessories become very hot during use,
you must be very careful when removing them or replacing them.
Either use an oven glove to handle them or wait until they have
cooled down. Make sure that the appliance is disconnected from
mains power before changing the accessories.

PRECAUTIONS
For cleaning leather, wood or delicate fabrics especially dra-
lon, velvet and other pile surfaces, consult the manufacturers
instructions. Clean only by using the hand gun at a safe distan-
ce together with a soft cloth and always do a test on a non visi-
ble part of the item first or on a sample. Allow the test area to
dry completely before observing results and effects on surface
or colour before proceeding to clean further areas, ensuring
that exactly the same distance and technique are applied as
for the test area. If in doubt, and on sensitive surfaces like
fabrics, leather and wood it is always better to ask for advice
from your Steam Cleaner Dealer
For cleaning wood surfaces (furniture, doors, etc..) take great
care as too long an application of the steam could alter the
waxed appearance, the shine or the colour of the surface clea-
ned. We therefore recommend you apply steam on such sur-
faces only for brief periods or to clean these surfaces using a
cloth first held in steam.
Please pay particular attention while cleaning brick floors: a
too long application of steam could damage wax, brightness or
colour of these surfaces.
Delicate surfaces (e.g. synthetic materials, lacquered surfaces
etc…) we recommend that the small brush should always be
covered with at least two cloths to reduce the intensity of the
steam, and (on machines with steam variation control) with the
steam set at a low level.
If cleaning glass surfaces in particularly low temperatures pre-
heat the glass using the hand gun from about 50 centimetres
distance from the surface to be cleaned.
For care of your plants vaporise at a minimum distance of 50
centimetres.
Round medium-bristled brush (A)
This brush is suitable for cleaning surfaces such as cooking
hobs, wash basins, stainless steel items, etc.
Round hard-bristled brush (B)
The hard-bristled brush may be used to clean more resistant sur-
faces, such as sanitary fixtures or to remove scale buildup or
clean the spaces between tiles.
Round brass-bristled brush (C)
This accessory is suitable for cleaning extremely hard-wearing
surfaces like hard floors, garden furniture, machine tools, etc.
WARNING: do not use this accessory on delicate surfaces,
because it may damage them.
Large brush (D)
The large brush is useful for cleaning:
• soft furnishings (after trying it on a hidden part);
• vehicle interiors, grimy windscreens;
• small glazed surfaces;
• tiles and other small areas;
• bath tubs;
• laminates and doors and windows.
Use without accessories:
The pistol may be used on its own, without attaching the bru-
shes, for specific cleaning tasks requiring steam to be applied
from a short distance, which will vary according to the kind of
material and the type of soiling to be removed.
The more difficult the soil is to remove, the closer you must hold
the steam pistol to it, because the temperature and pressure are
higher closer to the steam outlet.
In all cases, after applying steam, wipe the surface with a dry
cloth or with a scouring cloth if the soil is more difficult to remo-
ve.
Use the steam pistol to:
• treat stains on carpets before using the brushes;
clean stainless steel, windows, mirrors, layered or enamelled
surfaces;
clean difficult to reach areas such as stairs, window frames,
door frames, aluminium section bars;
• clean knobs on cooking hobs, bases of taps;
• clean shutters, radiators, vehicle interiors;
• spray indoor plants (from a distance);
• remove odours and creases from clothes.

Whenever the water finishes, refill the tank as follows:
NOTE: Before refilling the tank, make sure that the power cable
is unplugged from the mains power supply.
To remove the tank (6) from the steam pistol, just move the tank
catch (4) sideways while at the same time pulling the tank itself
away from the pistol, as shown in figure 3.
All you now have to do to be able to fill the tank is to unscrew the
cap (5) and remove it.
Once you have refilled the tank, you can continue working by fol-
lowing the instructions in the paragraph headed “PREPARA-
TION”.

Before carrying out any type of maintenance make sure that the
power cable has been disconnected from the mains.
When you finish using the round brush, allow the bristles to cool
in their natural position to prevent them from drying out of shape.
To clean the outside of the appliance use a damp cloth.
