9.2.3 Air filter

 Inspect the air filter (20) regularly. Replace it with a new one if necessary.

 Open the air filter case by loosening the fixing screw (21). Then remove the screw (21),

cover (22) and take the filter (20) out (Fig. 12).

 Tap the filter (20) on a stable surface to remove dust. Use compressed air (max. 3 bar) to

remove stubborn dust.

 Apply a small amount of air filter oil on the filter to increase the performance of the filter

(20). Wring out surplus oil and put the filter into the case.

 Put the air filter cover (22) back in place and fix it with the screw (21).

9.2.4 Fuel tank

 Empty the fuel tank (9) when storing the product over 30 days to prevent the fuel

deteriorating.

 Open the tank (9) by unscrewing the tank cap (10) and use a proper fuel pump to empty

the tank.

NOTE: Fuel deteriorates over time. It may be difficult to start the engine if

you use fuel which has been kept for more than 30 days. Always empty the

fuel tank when storing for more than 30 days.

9.2.5 Fuel filter

The fuel tank (9) of this product is fitted with a filter located at the free end of the fuel pipe.

Ask an authorized service center or similar qualified person to check and where necessary

replace it at regular intervals.

9.2.6 Spark plug

 Inspect the spark plug (18) every 25 hours or prior to long-term storage over 30 days if the

use has not been this high. Clean or replace with a new spark plug if necessary.

 Unplug the spark plug connector (17) (Fig. 13).

 Loosen the spark plug (18) with the spark plug wrench (24) and carefully remove it (Fig.

14).

 The color of the electrode should be light-brown colored.

 Remove debris from the electrode with a soft wired brush; avoid heavy cleaning of the

electrode.

 Dry the spark plug with a soft cloth if it is wet (from petrol).

 Check the spark plug gap; it should be 0.6 – 0.7mm (Fig. 15).

 Replace with a new spark plug if either the electrode or the insulation is damaged.

 When replacing the spark plug, first screw it in hand tight and then lightly tighten it with the

spark plug wrench.

WARNING! Do not over-tighten the spark plug to avoid any damage!

9.2.7 Carburetor

The carburetor is pre-set by the manufacturer. Should it be necessary to make any changes

please contact an authorized service center or a similarly qualified person. Do not attempt to

make any adjustments by yourself.

9.3 Lubrication

To prolong the life span of cutting blade and product it is recommended that the cutting blade

(1) is lubricated after each use. Apply light machine oil along the edge of the cutting blade.
