pointer points to the desired graduation on the angle scale (6). Then tighten the lock lever
(9) to secure the fence (18).
▪ When the fence (18) is set at 90°, both the distance from the center of the blade thickness
to the fence and the distance from the center of the blade thickness to the bottom of the
blade cover are 10 mm.
9.7 Adjusting the height (Fig.7)
▪ The correct height can be set by unlocking the clamping knob (10) and turning the knob
for the height adjustment (11) to the desired height with aid of the scale (12)
▪ The height must corresponds to half of the material thickness of the work piece, the
groove lot the biscuit dowel must always be in the middle of the working piece.
10 OPERATION
10.1 Switching on and off.
▪ Before installing the battery pack (26) into the tool, always check to see that the slide
switch (1) actuates properly and returns to the “OFF” position when the rear of the slide
switch (1) is depressed.
▪ Switch can be locked in “ON” position for ease of operator comfort during extended use.
Apply caution when locking tool in “ON” position and maintain firm grasp on tool.
▪ To start the tool, slide the slide switch (1) toward the “I (ON)” position.
▪ To stop the tool, press the rear of the slide switch (1), then slide it toward the “O (OFF)”
position.
Never us the shaft lock to stop the motor.
10.2 Marking the workpieces.
Before starling with the biscuit jointer the work pieces must be marked as following:
▪ Place the two work pieces which must be connected, on top of each other.
▪ Fasten the work pieces and mark the center of the groove.
The space between two grooves should be 10-15cm. This is not applicable for smaller
workpieces- smaller work pieces don't have to be marked
10.3 Positioning of the machine
Based on the size of the work pieces the machine can be positioned in several ways.
10.4 Large workpieces:
▪ Place the machine near the work piece
▪ The middle of the base plate (this point is marked on the base plate) must face the center
of the groove in the work piece, {see marking the work piece).
10.5 Small workpieces.
▪ Place the machine near the work piece
▪ The side of the machine must be lacing the side of the work piece.
10.6 Sawing grooves
▪ Move the motor base backward.
▪ Place the machine near the work piece.
▪ Position the machine (see positioning of the machine)
▪ Hold the machine with both hands and switch the machine on.
▪ Push the motor base carefully forward as far as possible.
▪ Move the motor base backward and switch the machine off.
10.7 Joining the workpieces
When the grooves in both work pieces have been made the workplaces can be joined together
