▪ To secure the lower handle in place, close the lower handle locks.
9.1.2 Assembly of the upper part of the handle:
▪ Place the nuts in the hinges and mount the hinges in the handle locks (Fig. 4a – Fig. 4b)
▪ Insert the long mounting bolt through the opening of the bottom part of the handle with the
end facing the outside. (Fig. 5a)
▪ Mount the upper part of the handle over the end of the bolt, mount the cushion block with
the flat side facing out over the bolt. (Fig. 5b)
▪ Install the locking handle over the bolt and tighten. Check the tension by regularly tilting
the lock button (do not over tighten). (Fig. 5c -Fig. 5d)
NOTE: If the lower handle (8) is loose or does not seat completely in the slot,
turn the lower handle locks clockwise to secure the handle.
▪ Open the upper handle locks (9).
▪ Pull up and back on the upper handle (10) to raise it into operating position. Make sure
that the lower handle (8) is seated in the grooves at the bottom of the upper handle.
▪ To secure the upper handle in place, close the upper handle locks.
NOTE: If the upper handle is loose or separated from the lower handle,
tighten the knobs on the upper handle locks by turning them clockwise.
9.1.3 To lower the handle assembly: (Fig. 6)
▪ Open the upper handle locks (9)
NOTE: If the handle lock is difficult to open, loosen the knobs on the upper
handle locks by turning them counterclockwise.
▪ Lower the upper handle (10).
▪ Open the lower handle lock (5).
▪ Push outward on each side of the lower handle (8) until it is free from the slot. Then, fold
the handle to the front of the unit. Avoid pinching or trapping any cables.
9.2 Installing the wire fixed buckle (Fig. 7)
▪ To secure the wire fixed buckle (4) in place.
▪ Make sure the buckle is installed securely.
9.3 Installing the grass catcher (for rear bagging operation) (Fig. 8)
▪ Remove key and battery pack.
▪ Lift the rear discharge door.
▪ Lift the grass catcher by its handle and place under the rear discharge door so that the
hooks on the grass catcher are seated onto the slots on the mower housing.
▪ Release the rear discharge door.
▪ Reinstall key and battery pack when you are ready to mow.
10 OPERATION
10.1 Starting/stopping the mower
▪ Raise the battery cover.
▪ Install battery pack.
▪ Insert the key (2) into the key hole.
▪ Lower the battery cover.
