7 OPERATION
7.1 Preparation((Fig 1)
Always unplug the machine from the mains before fitting a mixer bar.
First screw the stirrer (9a) on to the mixer bar (9b), the bolts should be together.
Screw the stir assembly (9a + 9b) into the mixer holder (4) afterwards. Use the two spanners
to do this. Use the smallest of the spanners (8a) to hold the mixer holder (4) in place and then
use the second spanner (8b) to tighten up the stir assembly. Proceed in the reverse sequence
to undo the mixer.
Always use a mixer bar that is suitable for the material to be mixed/stirred.
Using an unsuitable mixer bar can unnecessarily overload both the
machine and yourself.
▪ To remove the mixer bar, unscrew it from the mixer
spindle in an anticlockwise direction. The mixer bar can
become rather tight in the holder. In that case, use a spanner
to keep the holder from turning.
7.2 Switching on and off
Press the release button (2) and then press and hold the switch (1) to turn on the device.
Release the switch (1) to switch off the device.
7.3 Speed preselection
The speed can be preselected steplessly with the speed controller (7).
The necessary speed depends on the type of material you wish to mix; we recommend prac-
tical testing to determine the right speed.
7.4 Gear selector switch
Two speed ranges can be selected with the gear selector switch (5) :
Gear 1 150 min-1 to 500 min-1,
Gear 2 230 min-1 to 800 min-1
It is possible to change gear when the machine is running. However, this should not be done
when the machine is at full load.
