8 ASSEMBLY
8.1 Unpacking
Remove the lawn mower from the carton and check thoroughly for additional loose parts.
8.2 Folding handle
▪ Insert the lower handle (20) into the corresponding holes in the deck (21) and fix the lower
handles with the two screws. (Fig. 1A)
▪ Screw the upper handle (22) with the two locking knobs. (Fig. 1B)
Caution: Traction and starter cables must always be positioned on top of
the cross bar of the push handle. This provides free movement of the
cables on top of the lower section of the push handle, when the handle is
folded. Incorrect mounting of these cables could lead to damaging and/or
straining them, resulting in a malfunction of the machine. In this case the
guaranty is void.
8.3 Starter handle (Fig. 2)
Move the starter handle from the engine to the rope guide.
8.4 Collect box (Fig. 3)
▪ Clip the plastic edges of the box onto the frame and attach the clips.
▪ Lift the rear discharge guard, and install the grass collect box (5).
9 OPERATION
9.1 Before starting
This lawn mower is shipped WITHOUT OIL OR GASOLINE in the engine
9.1.1 Add oil
Before each subsequent use the oil level must be check and if necessary topped up with 350
ml SAE30 engine oil.
CAUTION: DO NOT overfill engine with oil, or it will smoke heavily from the
muffler on start-up.
▪ Be sure lawnmower is level.
▪ Remove oil dipstick from oil fill spout.
▪ Wipe the oil dipstick clean; refit and tighten the oil tank cap and then remove it again. Add
enough oil to bring the oil level between the upper and lower limit marks on the dipstick
(Fig. 4). Do not overfill engine with oil.
▪ Refill if the oil level is too low.
IMPORTANT:
▪ Check oil level before each use. Add oil if needed. Fill to full line on dipstick.
▪ Change the oil after every 25 hours of operation or each season. You may need to change
the oil more often under dusty, dirty conditions.
