10.5 Regulating the auxiliary wheel (Fig. D)
▪ The auxiliary wheel (1) can be positioned at two different heights:
- lowered, in contact with the ground, to facilitate movement.
- raised, while working, to allow the milling cutters to cut into the ground.
▪ To shift from one position to another, grasp the wheel (1), pull it till the pin comes out (2)
from its housing in the support (3) and reposition it at the desired height:
- for moving, turn the wheel (1) to position a.
- for working, turn the wheel (1) to position b.
10.6 Depth adjustment (Fig. E and J)
▪ Pull out the split pin (Fig. E, 3), and remove the columniform pin (Fig. E, 2), adjust the
resistance pole (1) to an appropriate position, then replace both pins in reverse order.
10.7 When work is finished (Fig. K)
▪ Release the engagement lever (2).
▪ Move the throttle lever to "STOP".
▪ Move the auxiliary wheel to the lowered position (see instructions above 10.5).
▪ Disconnect the spark plug cap (1) before storing the machine or doing any other jobs on it.
11 MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
11.1 Front-tine tiller maintenance
▪ The transmission case has grease installed at the factory.
▪ Keep all screws, nuts, and bolts tight.
▪ For cold weather operation, store the unit in a cool environment. Transferring the unit from
a warm to a cold place can cause the build-up of harmful condensation.
Stop the engine and disconnect and earth the spark plug before any
repairing or maintenance operations.
Use of safety gloves is imperative while performing adjustment or repair of
the machine.
Only use original spare parts.
Complicated operations –not listed here below- must be carried out by a
specialized technical assistance centre.
Regular and careful maintenance is essential for keeping the safety level
and original performance of the machine unchanged in time.
When tipping the machine for access to carryout repairs, empty the fuel
tank. Never tip the machine more than 90 degrees in any direction and never
leave the machine tipped for any length of time as oilcan drip into the air
cleaner of the engine, thus causing a starting problem.
