This attractive Let’s Cook Hot Pot is designed by Jan des Bouvrie. It comes complete with an aluminium
pot with removable glass lid.
BEFORE USE
Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check that your domestic
electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Plug this appliance only into an earthed outlet. Remove
any stickers and wash all parts before use (except the electric part) in warm soapy water and rinse well.
Do not use a metal spatula or sharp objects in the aluminium pot as it will scratch the non-stick coating

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE
Make sure the base is placed on a sturdy table or other stable surface.
The appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first time.
This is normal and will soon stop. Make sure the appliance has sufficient ventilation. Don’t switch on the
hot pot if the removable aluminium pot is not filled-up with anything.
While in use, the temperature light will go on and off. This shows that the thermostat is working correctly
and that the contents of the pan are being heated at the set temperature.
Place the aluminium pot on the heating base and insert the plug into the plug socket. Always slide the
temperature adjustment lever to the OFF position before plugging in. Fill the pan with water and stock.
Turn the temperature adjustment lever to high. Once it boils, add ingredients. Adjust the temperature setting
to keep the broth close to boiling. Do not keep for too long, food will lose flavour and become dry.
If the broth looks like it might boil over, either change the temperature setting to low or remove the lid to
make sure the contents of the aluminium pot do not spill over. Always remove the glass lid away from
you as there is steam trapped under the lid. Note: Do not place the aluminium pot or the glass lid on a
table as it may leave a mark.
Covering the cooking pot will allow you to prepare items such as dumplings quicker and will produce a
tender result. This is also a good idea to prevent liquid from splattering.
Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use
CLEANING
FIRST REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE SOCKET AND ALLOW ALL THE PARTS
TO COOL OFF BEFORE CLEANING THEM. DO NOT MOVE THE APPLIANCE
BEFORE IT HAS COOLED DOWN.
