BEFORE USING

Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check whether the

voltage in the home corresponds with that of the deep fryer (230 Volts). Only connect this applian-

ce to an earthed socket.

The luxury coffeemaker brews 12-15 cups, features a convenient removable filter with anti-drip

,water-level indicator, safe thermostatic control and on/off switch with indicator light.

USING THE COFFEEMAKER

First let the water circulate through the PRINCESS GRAND CAFE MILANO without adding any

coffee, in order to cleanse the system. Afterwards, rinse the pot and the filter holder.

Fill the reservoir/tank with water and place a filter paper (size 1x4) in the filter holder. Place the

pot on the hotplate and turn on the PRINCESS GRAND CAFE MILANO . Use approx. three full

measures of coffee for a full pot of water. This will produce a medium coffee.

NOTE: After making coffee, wait at least 5 minutes before making another pot, in order to let the

appliance cool off.

KEEPING WARM

As long as the PRINCESS GRAND CAFE MILANO is switched on, the coffee stays at the right

temperature

CLEANING

ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING. Rinse the pot and the filter holder.

These parts are not dishwasher-safe. The outside of the PRINCESS GRAND CAFE MILANO can

be wiped down with a damp cloth.

DESCALING

Regular descaling will help prolong the life of the PRINCESS GRAND CAFE MILANO. It is a

good idea to descale around once a month. If the local water supply is especially hard, twice a

month is recommended. Hard water is more than 20 DH (a German scale used to measure water

hardness). Your water company can tell you the degree of hardness.

You should immediately descale when the appliance:

- Makes gurgling noises;

- Takes longer than usual to brew;

- Still has water in the reservoir after brewing.

- the machine turns itself off during coffee-making

- the machine produces excessive amounts of steam.

Nearly all commercially available descaling products are appropriate for use. The

instructions on most products indicate whether they are suitable. Never use any pro-

duct containing hydrochloric or sulphuric acid. These are not suitable for descaling.
