PRINCESS-TIPS
- Plaats het toestel op een stevig en stabiel oppervlak.
- Dompel het apparaat nooit in water of andere vloeistof onder.
- De buitenkant van de kan wordt vrij warm. Pak de kan dus alleen bij de handgreep beet.
- Zorg dat het apparaat niet zo dicht bij de rand van tafel, werkblad e.d. staat dat iemand het eraf zou
kunnen stoten; zorg ook dat het snoer niet zodanig hangt dat men erover zou kunnen struikelen of
erachter blijven haken. Bedenk dat de kan gevuld is met heet water!
- Gebruik het apparaat niet als het beschadigd is of als het snoer beschadigd is, maar stuur het dan naar
onze servicedienst. Bij dit type toestellen kan een beschadigd snoer uitsluitend met speciaal
gereedschap door onze servicedienst vervangen worden.
- Plaats het apparaat niet op of in de directe nabijheid van een hete kookplaat e.d.
- Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact vóór het schoonmaken en bij storingen.
- Het warmhoudplaatje wordt erg heet: zorg dat kinderen er niet bij kunnen en wees er zelf ook
voorzichtig mee.

BEFORE USING
Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check that your domestic
electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket.
First let the water circulate through the PRINCESS CAFÉ CAMPING without adding any coffee, in order
to cleanse the system. Afterwards, rinse the pot and the filter holder.
USING THE PRINCESS CAFÉ CAMPING
Fill the reservoir/tank with water and place a filter paper (size 1x4) in the filter holder. Place the pot on
the hotplate and turn on the PRIN-CESS CAFÉ CAMPING.
NOTE: After making coffee, wait at least 5 minutes before making another pot, in order to let the
appliance cool off.
KEEPING WARM
The coffee stays warm as long as the PRINCESS CAFÉ CAMPING is switched on.
CLEANING
FIRST REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE MAINS.
Rinse the glass pot and the filter holder. These parts are not dishwasher-safe. The outside of the
PRINCESS CAFÉ CAMPING can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
DESCALING
Regular descaling will help prolong the life of the PRINCESS CAFÉ CAMPING. It is a good idea to
descale around once a month. If the local water supply is especially hard, twice a month is recommended.
Hard water is more than 20* DH (German scale used to measure water hardness). Your water company
can tell you the degree of hardness.
You should also descale immediately if the machine:
makes gurgling noises;
- takes longer than usual to brew;
- still has water in the reservoir after brewing.
- turns itself off during coffee-making
- produces excessive amounts of steam.
Nearly all commercially available descaling products are appropriate for use. The
instructions on most products indicate whether they are suitable. Never use any product
containing hydrochloric or sulphuric acid. These are not suitable for descaling.
To do so, proceed as follows:
- First allow the appliance to cool down sufficiently.
- Fill the reservoir with cold water.
- Add the amount of descaling agent indicated on the package.
- Place a filter paper in the permanent filter, not forgetting to put the pot in place.
