This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons

with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities of lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the

appliance in a safe way and understands the hazards involved.

Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should

not be carried out by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

Keep the appliance cord out of reach of children.

Do not immerse the appliance or cord in water.

Always use the appliance in an upright position on a dry, level surface.

Do not use this appliance outdoors.

Always unplug from the socket when not in use and before cleaning.

Do not operate the appliance if it is damaged or malfunctions.

Route the cable so it doesn’t overhang and can’t be tripped over or caught.

Don’t let the cord touch hot surfaces.

Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in or where it

could touch a heated oven, or a microwave oven.

Bread may burn. Do not use the appliance near or below combustible materials.

This appliance is intended to be used in households and similar applications such as:

- Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments.

- Farm houses.

- By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments.

- Bed and breakfast type environments.

Do not use this appliance with any food stuff product containing sugar content or

with products containing jam or preserves.

When toasting a single slice, the bread may be –placed in any toasting slot.

Do not change the variable browning control during the toasting. First press the

cancel button then turn the variable browning control to adjust the level.

Do not insert fork or other utensils into the appliance in order to remove bread as

this may damage the appliance and there is a high risk of electric shock.

Should toast remain blocked in the appliance, remove plug from the power outlet,

wait for it to cool down then turn the appliance over and shake it gently.

Never use the appliance unsupervised. Switch off the appliance whenever you are

not using it, even if this is only for a moment.

The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or

separate remote-control system.

Ensure that the voltage of the socket that you plug into corresponds with the voltage

displayed on the rating plate of the appliance.

Do not cover the appliance or put anything on top of the toasting slot.

Do not use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners or oven cleaners when using this

appliance.

Clean the crumb tray regularly as crumbs can smoke or burn.

Do not store the appliance until it has fully cooled down.
