• It is normal for a set of rechargeable batteries to require several hours‘ charging (this may be between 5 and 8 hours, depending on whether the rechargeable batteries
were already pre-charged).
• If you supply the radio with power using rechargeable batteries, the charging LED will go out until the rechargeable batteries are discharged. The battery status dis

play then lights up red briefly and the radio switches o automatically. This prevents deep discharge of the rechargeable batteries. Deep discharge may damage the
rechargeable batteries or reduce their service life.
• If you connect the radio to the mains and use it while there are rechargeable batteries in the device, charging will be interrupted until you switch o the radio again.
• Switch o the radio with the ON/OFF button to start charging. If the rechargeable batteries are already pre-charged, they are only charged for a few minutes before
the charging LED stops flashing.
• If you use the radio only briefly, you do not need to connect it to the mains every single time to charge the rechargeable batteries. If you do not use the radio for a few
weeks, we recommend charging the rechargeable batteries completely before putting it aside.
• If you do not use your radio for several months, we recommend removing the rechargeable batteries from the device and putting them aside. Keep them in a cool location
out of the reach of children where they are protected from moisture and where the battery contacts cannot come into contact with any metal objects.
• With the corresponding care, rechargeable batteries may have a very long life time and can be charged many hundred times. If your rechargeable batteries no longer
supply the radio with sucient power, dispose of them properly. For proper disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read the chapter „Disposal“.
