Avoid dropping your watch on the ground. Severe shocks could cause
serious damage to the mechanism. Avoid exposing the watch to direct
sunlight or leaving it in a high temperature location for a long period of
time. Do not leave it in a cold place either. Do not operate the crown
when the watch is wet. Wash the metallic watch band with a brush in soapy
water. After that, wipe well with a soft cloth having good water absorption
properties to eliminate all water.
Getting your watch checked once every year or two is recommended to
ensure long and trouble free operation. Your RODANIA-chronograph is
an accurate quality watch. Have your battery replaced by a professional
watchmaker.
He can check the condition of the O-rings and replace them if necessary, in
order to keep your watch water resistant even after a battery replacement.

If your watch has a tachymeter scale
A tachymeter is used to display the speed of a vehicle: How many seconds
does it take to cover 1 km? You can measure for a maximum of 60 seconds.
Start the chronograph at the rst mark. After travelling one kilometre, stop
the chronograph. The average speed can then be read on the tachymeter
scale of your watch.
For example, if it takes 45 seconds to cover one kilometre of road, the
average speed will be around 80 km/h.

Multi-calendar display
The upper dial indicates the date, while the left-hand dial displays the day
and the lower dial displays the 24-hour time.
To adjust the hands on the dials, you have to use the crown.
The crown can be pulled out to 2 positions.
Adjusting the time
If you pull the crown out to position 2 (as far as it goes) you can set the time
indicated by the hands.
The display on the left-hand and lower dials is synchronised with the time
displayed. To correct the display of these dials, pull the crown to position 2
and adjust the time forward or back.
Adjusting the date
To adjust the date on the upper dial, pull the crown to position 1
(intermediate) and turn the crown until the correct date appears. Do not
set the date between 21:00 and 01:00 in the morning as the date disk is
engaged during this period. This could break the mechanism.
Don't forget to press the crown fully home.
