Avoid dropping your watch on the ground. Severe shocks could cause
serious damage to the mechanism. Avoid exposing the watch to direct
sunlight or leaving it in a high temperature location for a long period of
time. Do not leave it in a cold place either. Do not operate the crown
when the watch is wet. Wash the metallic watch band with a brush in soapy
water. After that, wipe well with a soft cloth having good water absorption
properties to eliminate all water.
Getting your watch checked once every year or two is recommended to
ensure long and trouble free operation. Your RODANIA-chronograph is
an accurate quality watch. Have your battery replaced by a professional
watchmaker.
He can check the condition of the O-rings and replace them if necessary, in
order to keep your watch water resistant even after a battery replacement.

If your watch has a tachymeter scale
A tachymeter is used to display the speed of a vehicle: How many seconds
does it take to cover 1 km? You can measure for a maximum of 60 seconds.
Start the chronograph at the rst mark. After travelling one kilometre, stop
the chronograph. The average speed can then be read on the tachymeter
scale of your watch.
For example, if it takes 45 seconds to cover one kilometre of road, the
average speed will be around 80 km/h.

Setting the time
1. pull the crown out to the 1
st
click (1)
2. turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands
3. when the crown is returned to the normal position synchronised with the
time signal, the sweep second hand starts to move
Adjusting the date
Pull out the crown to the mid-position (1). turn it until the correct date
appears. Do not set the date between 21:00 and 01:00 in the morning as
the date disk is engaged during this period. this could break the mechanism.
Chronometer instructions
This chronometer is capable of measuring and displaying the time in units of
one second up to a maximum of 29 minutes 59 seconds. The chronometer
stops automatically after operating continuously for 30 minutes.
Measuring time with the chronometer
1. press button A to start the chronometer
2. the chronometer can be started and stopped by pressing button A
3. when you press button B, the chronometer is reset and the minute and
second hands of the chronometer return to zero
Remark: buttons A and B are not operational during resetting of the
chronometer.

Resetting the chronograph (also after replacing the battery)
Carry out this procedure when the sweep second hand of the chronograph
does not return to the zero position after resetting the chronograph and
after replacing the battery.
1. pull the crown out to the 1
st
click (1).
2. press button A to set the second hand of the chronograph to the zero
position.
* the minute hand of the chronograph is synchronised with the second
hand of the chronograph.
* the second hand of the chronograph can be advanced rapidly by
pressing continuously on button A.
3. once the hands are on zero, reset the time and reset the crown to the
normal position (0).
