Initial use

For a start, please clean the roasting tray, the grill grid and the crumb tray in warm

water with some dishwashing detergent. Prior to initial use the protective coating

on the heating elements has to be burnt in. In order to do so, please heat the app-

lianceupforapprox.20minutesatmaximumpower.Pleasedonotbebotheredby

the slight, harmless smoke and smell that will be generated for a short while.

Aftertheappliancehascooled,pleasecleantheinteriorovenwithamoistcloth.

Priortoeachoperationmakesuretheovenisdry.

And this is how to operate the appliance

Thestandardovenmodelcomesequippedwithanenamelledroastingtray,a

chromium-platedgrillgridandacrumbtray.Dependingonyourrequirements,the

grill grid can be slid into the guide rails with the curvature up or down. Make sure

the grill grid is locked in place in the guide hooks provided at the oven door.

Theroastingtrayisjustputonthegrillgridandcanthereforealsobeusedat

two levels.

Alwaysinsertthecrumbtrayintheopeningprovidedforthatunderneaththe

lower heating element.

1. Setting the temperature

Withtheupperrotaryknobyoucansettherequestedbakingtemperature.

2. How to switch the appliance on

To put unit into operation, turn the lower rotary knob to the right as far as it will

goandthenbacktotherequestedoperatingtime=setthetimerorchoose„M“=

continuous operation.

The clock will switch the appliance off automatically after the selected period of

timehaspassedandyouwillhearashortring.Theselectedtimecanbeadjusted

at any time even during operation by turning the knob to the left or to the right.

If you select continuous operation „M“, the appliance will not switch off automati-

cally, but the rotary knob has to be reset to „0“ in order to switch it off.

Oncethepilotlampgoesouttheselectedtemperaturehasbeenreached.Cycling

on and off during operation, the pilot lamp shows the thermostatic regulation of

the temperature.

Caution: This means that the pilot lamp does temporarily not glow although the

oven is switched on. Therefore make sure that both knobs are turned to „0“ after

the cooking procedure has been completed. The safest way to switch off is to pull

out the mains plug.

Cleaning and maintenance

Alwaysunplugtheapplianceandletitcoolbeforecleaning!

The accessories can be cleaned in warm water with some dishwashing detergent.

Wipecasing,interiorovenandovendoorwithamoistclothandwipedry.Never

immersetheapplianceinwaterandmakesurenosteamorwatercaninltratethe

underside!

On no account must you use scouring agents or solvents or oven sprays!!
