The collection canister consists of an overow valve, a bottle in PC (polycarbonate)
material and must be replaced if there ar e visible signs of the damage.
Note:
1. Keep the device ver tical to allow the overow valve to function correctly.
2. Do not overtur n the collection canister during use, in order to pr event the
inter vention of the ov er ow valve; should this occur , switch the aspirat or o
and detach the tubing connected to the antibacterial lter .
3. T o accelerate aspiration and simplify cleaning , it is recommended to put water
in the collection canister before using .
4. Suction at the patient is automatically obstructed when the liquid level reaches
the overow valve located on the underside of the canister lid.
5. Contents of the container should be emptied when aut omatic over ow valve is
activated. F urther suc tioning could cause damage to the vacuum pump .
The antibacterial lter supplied with Rossmax aspirators must be strictly replaced
for each new patient, or if ov er ow occurs or the lter is saturated. Should
the aspirator be used on the same patient, the lter f or single -patient use is
recommended to be r eplaced after ever y application. I t should also be replaced if
the unit is used with a patient whose risk of contamination is unk nown. The lt er
cannot be sanitized, disinf ected, or sterilized .
Note:
1. Do not use the aspirator without the antibacterial lter , the unit could be
damaged. F rom a bacteriological point of view , it becomes dangerous f or the
patient.
2. Do not substitute any other material f or this antibacter ial lter . Substitution may
lead to contamination or poor per formance; use only Rossmax lters .
The tubing is recommended to be single use , but the number of cycles of
disinfection and/or cleaning is strictly linked to the employment of the said tubing.
Theref ore, after each cleaning cycle, it is up to the nal user t o verify whether the
tubing is suitable for r euse. The component must be r eplaced if there ar e visible
signs of the decay of the tubing .
The suction equipment does not need maintenance or lubrication. I t is, how ever
to inspect the unit and accessories before each use .
DANGER:
Electric shock hazard. Do not attempt to open or r emove cabinet, there ar e no
user-serviceable inter nal components. If ser vice is requir ed, return the device to
your local distributor or authorized Rossmax ser vice center . Opening or tampering
with the unit will void warranty .
Rossmax requires the f ollowing procedur es to be carried out to protect
the instrument and the safety of all who c ome in contact with it.
Befor e returning an instrument for repair , the ex ternal sur faces and all accessories
MUST be carefully disinf ected with a cloth soaked in methylated spirits or
hypochlorite-based solution. The instrument and accessories should then
be placed in a bag with a note outlining the disinfection undertak en. F ailur e
to follo w this procedure will r esult in the instrument being returned to the
purchaser unrepair ed. Instruments returned for r epair MUST be accompanied
by a description of the problem. Rossmax will not be r esponsible for damage
caused through improper use . T o avoid such damage, please r ead the instruction
carefully . Rossmax will not be responsible f or damage of accessories. Accessories
will be replaced at the customer’ s expense
In the presence of pathologies with the risk of infection and microbial contamination,
we recommend personal use of the accessories, collection canister , connec ting
tubing and antibacterial lter and all accessories should be thoroughly cleaned
and disinfected after each use.
Note: Use only with original Rossmax ac cessories.
