OPERATING INSTRUC-
TIONS FOR THE
ELECTRONIC-LOCK

ATTENTION: Please read the operating instructions care-
fully before you operate the lock or you try to program a
new combination of numbers. We are unable to accept
any liability for problems caused by not following the set
up instructions correctly.
1. MASTER CODE AND USER CODE
Your safe can be opened with both a Master Code and
also with a User Code.
On delivery no User Code is programmed into the safe.
Each correct key stroke is lit with a green LED and will be
confirmed with a beep.
If a button is not pressed for five [5] seconds, the current
entry needs to be performed again.
Each entry can be cancelled by pressing the “*” button.
For the power supply you will need four [4] 1.5 volt alka-
line AAA batteries (batteries are not supplied).
The use of non-alkaline batteries is not recommended.
The safe is delivered factory fitted with the Master Code
1-2-3-4-5-6. For security reasons we recommend you
change the Master Code to your own User Code.
2. WRONG CODE ENTERED
If you enter an incorrect code by pressing the “Enter”
button you will hear a triple [3x] beep and the red LED
will flash three times [3x].
a) LOCKOUT AFTER ENTERING A WRONG CODE
If you enter the wrong code three times, the lock will be
blocked for five [5] minutes. During this time it will not
be possible to enter a code and the red LED will flash for
five [5] seconds.
Please note, you cannot override the lockout time by re-
moving the batteries.
3. SET UP / BATTERY
CHANGE
3.1 Remove the battery com-
partment underneath the
keypad by pulling it down
(see illustration).
3.2 Insert four [4] 1.5 volt alkaline batteries (AAA).
Please make sure the polarity is correct.
3.3 Close the battery compartment by pushing it back
in.
3.4 After inserting the batteries see “OPENING THE
SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME”.
4. WARNING BATTERY LOW
Under voltage will be displayed when you press the “*”
button. When the battery is low, a five [5] second
acoustic signal will beep and the red LED will flash. You
should change the batteries immediately (see SETUP/
BATTERY CHANGE). If the battery low warning is ignored,
or after usage of a long period of time, it is possible that
it will not be possible to open the safe.
5. OPENING THE SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME
5.1 Press “*” when the door is closed or when the lock
mechanism is extended.
5.2 An acoustic signal will beep and the green LED will
flash.
5.3 Enter the valid code (on delivery this is 1-2-3-4-5-6).
5.4 Confirm the entry by pressing the “Enter” button.
5.5 After entering the correct code you will hear a
double [2x] beep and the green LED will flash.
5.6 While the green LED is flashing, and within five
seconds [5], turn the lever (left side of the
keyboard) to the right, until it stops.
5.7 Now you can open the door.
6. CLOSING THE SAFE
Close the door and turn the lever to the left side until it
stops. The safe is now locked.
7. CHANGING THE MASTERCODE
The Master Code which you have selected will remain the
same, even if you have to change the batteries. Choose a
Master Code that you are going to easily remember. For
each of the following steps a break when pressing the
buttons should not be longer than five [5] seconds, oth-
erwise the programming will be aborted. Check your
newly programmed code several times while the door is
opened. Only close the door when you are sure that the
newly saved code works correctly.
7.1 Press the “*” button.
7.2 Press the “ENTER” button.
7.3 Press the “1” button.
7.4 Press the “ENTER” button.
7.5 Enter the valid Master Code (at delivery
1-2-3-4-5-6).
