• The hose or tool is blocked
Unblock the hose or tool.
• The separator is blocked
Remove and clean the spiral separator (see § ‘cleaning the spiral separator’).
If an object is still stuck , contact your nearest Rowenta Approved Service Centre
INFINIUM performs poorly, makes some noise, whistles and stops
• The hose or tool is blocked
Unblock the hose or tool.
• The filter is blocked
Clean the filter and the cartridge grill (see § “cleaning the filter” )
• The dust collection container has not been fully pushed into its holder
Push it down all the way until it clicks into place.
• The spiral separator is blocked
Remove the separator and clean it (see § “cleaning the spiral separator)
If an object is still stuck , contact your nearest Rowenta Approved Service Centre
INFINIUM stops while vacuuming
• The safety thermostat has tripped
Check that nothing is blocking the tool, hose or spiral separator, and that the filter is not clogged. Allow the
appliance to cool down for approximately 30 minutes before switching on again
The remote control does not work or does not work well
• Obstacles, walls or certain surfaces (partitions, doors, high ceilings, lofts, bay windows, dark paint, etc.)
interfere with or prevent transmission
Point the handle at the vacuum cleaner
• Infrared sources (sun, energy-saving light bulbs, etc.) disrupt transmission
Move away or turn them off
• The batteries have run down.
Replace the battery. Use lithium batteries CR2032 and change it when neccessary
Suction is weak
• The electronic control is in the MIN position
Set the control to the MAX position unless you are vacuuming delicate fabrics
• There is an air leak
Check the position of the dust collection container. Check that the filter holder is in place
Suction has dropped, the sound and light indicators have come on
• The filter is blocked or the cartridge grill has become clogged
Clean the filter and the cartridge grill (see § “cleaning the filter”).
If the HEPA filter is damaged, change it (Ref. RS-RT 1580)
• If the problem persists after cleaning the filtration system, the spiral separator has become obstructed
Remove the spiral separator and clean it (see § “cleaning the separator”)
If an object is still stuck , contact your nearest Rowenta Approved Service Centre
The power cord does not fully retract.
• The cord slows down as it is retracted
Pull out the cord until completely extended and press on the retraction button
If the problem persists, take the INFINIUM to your nearest Rowenta Approved
Service Centre.
