Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
The exposure standard f or your wireless equipment employs a unit of
measurement known as the Specic Absorption Rate (SAR). The SAR
limit in Europe is 2.0 W/kg. The RG730 device has also been tested
against this SAR limit. The highest SAR value reported under this
standard during product certication for use at the ear is 0.2236W/kg
and when properly worn on the body is 0.761 W/kg. This device was
tested for typical body-worn operation with the back of the handset
kept 1.0cm from the body . T o maintain compliance with RF exposur e
requirements, use accessories that maintain a 2.5cm separation
distance between the user's body and the back of the handset. The use
of belt clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain
metallic components in its assembly . The use of accessories that do
not satisfy these requirements ma y not comply with RF exposure
requirements, and should be a voided.
During use, the actual SAR values for this device are usually well below
8 1 . 0 0 m m
1 5 3 . 0 0 m m
the values stated above . This is because, f or purposes of system
efficiency and to minimize interference on the network, the operating
power of your mobile device is automatically decr eased when full
power is not needed.
Organizations such as the World Health Organization and the US F ood
and Drug Administration hav e suggested that if people are concerned
and want to reduce their exposur e, they could use a hands-free
accessory to keep the wireless device away fr om the head and body
during use, or they could reduce the amount of time spent using the
device.
This symbol on the device, battery and accessories
indicate that
they should be handed over to a collection point for
proper disposal at the end of their life .
