TEST-RUN
Start the tool and check that there are no vibrations or off-centre tool
rotations.
Otherwise, switch off immediately and eliminate the problem.
ALLOWABLE TOOLS
Retail drill bits:
- Ø maximum 10 mm (DD122);
- Ø maximum 13 mm (DD142);
- screwdriver inserts.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT (A)
- Press the eject buttons (8) while pulling the battery down until released;
- insert the new battery making sure that voltage corresponds to machine vol-
tage and that the rib on the battery side corresponds to the groove on the
battery housing.
MAINTENANCE
BATTERY CHARGER
Store in a cool, clean and dry place. Systematically clean the exterior with a
dry cloth.
BATTERIES
Warning: do not leave the batteries in the tool when not in use: remove them
from their housings and place them, not fully used
, in a cool and dry place. Af-
ter charging batteries, unplug the battery charger from the electrical mains,
remove the batteries and store them as described above. Rechargeable bat-
tery life is limited: the number of times a battery can be charged depends on
many factors (type of use, battery age, etc.): when the battery is dead (can no
longer be recharged) dispose according to the indications found in this book-
let in the instructions on “Specific battery safety regulations”.
DRILLS
Warning:The battery must be removed from the machine for all maintenance
operations!
On completion of the work, or when necessary, remove any dust from the tool
body with a jet of compressed air.
Apart from cleaning operations, the user must not perform any ulterior main-
tenance.
Contact Authorised service centres if necessary.

STATIC RADIO INTERFERENCE PROTECTIVE SHIELD
Machines are built in accordance with the static radio interference prevention
and elimination effects according to regulations EN55014-1 + EN55014-2 +
EN61000-3-2 + EN61000-3-3.
NOISE LEVEL
The noise level produced is 79 dB (A), measured according to regulation
EN 23744

GUARANTEE
All tools manufactured by RUPES Spa are guaranteed for 12 months from
the date of purchase against fabrication and material defects.
All tools must be used only with RUPES original accessories and spare
parts: we refuse all responsibility for damages or accidents caused by
non-observance of this rule which will also cause the termination of the
guarantee.
The guarantee will no longer be valid if the instructions contained in this
booklet are not followed, if the tool is used for purposes other than that for
which it is intended, if it is dismantled, interfered with in any way or dama-
ged due to neglect.
The guarantee will be made valid by filling-in the form on the
inside back cover of this instruction booklet.
If the tool is found to be defective or malfunctions, it should be returned
carriage free in one piece in its original packing together with the guaran-
tee certificate to the manufacturer or to one of the Assistance Centres li-
sted in the appendix to this booklet.
